We enjoyed being on the beach and liked the amenities at Holiday Surf - pool, shuffleboard and pickleball). It was nice having staff on the property. There was a power outage after a storm (tornado may have passed nearby). It would be nice to have a generator for the property as the building to the West has. There was some dispute about the snowbird rate and I was not able to make a reservation loner than 14 days on the website - I should have called.

Too many trinkets, not enough necessary, but, still a great stay!

This unit needed a little attention to the clustered closets(extra bed pillows, blankets,old pictures) Kitchen had too many trinkets on the countertops. No towel bars or toilet paper holders in either one of the bathrooms. I would choose another unit the next time, even with the stacked washer and dryer. Second bedroom furniture arranged poorly, bathroom door was blocked.

Our condo was outdated, old furniture, not very clean. For the price we paid, I had higher expectations. A new plastic, clear shower curtain only cost $5 and the one on our shower looks like it was never replaced. The living room TV speakers have blown out so watching a movie at night had terrible sound quality. We did like the convenience of being on the first floor and walking straight from the patio to the beach.

My only complaint is that our unit needed some updating. The stove was broke and maintenance was already aware. They replaced it with another used stove from somewhere else in the property. The used stove did not cook well at all. The oven burnt our bread and the stove top cooked really hot. The microwave was missing the handle to open the door and we only had 3 spoons for the whole unit. The only vacuum had a broke handle and was unusable. We love this property but some more money needs to be invested in the updates.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: They normally run a great family oriented property and enforce their rules. This trip however, people were smoking on their balconies, flipping butts into the grass, smoking in the walkways. Smoking by the tennis courts, smoking all over the beach..For those of us who canā€™t stand smoke, the only safe place was in our room or the lobby. Several members of our group had items stolen..shoes, items from the laundry..perhaps they are short staffed like many places and simply donā€™t have the personnel to enforce the rules..the beach chairs were a nightmare, an absolute disaster trying to get your chairs every day. We were spoiled to have Scott for many many years, the beach manager now was really struggling with all the hot tempers and Karenā€™s out there. Next year our group will like stay somewhere else for the first time ever. Hopefully they get the place back on track.
