Fantastic two bedroom apartment carefully decorated in a beautiful and totally renovated historical building, just a few meters away from the Gulbenkian. The perfect choice for families or couples looking for comfort, elegance and space. You will be in the center of Lisbon, in a quiet and safe residential area, with a wide variety of restaurants, cafes and markets in the surrounding area, as well as many public transportation options.
This property is part of the magnificent building "Republica 37", recently awarded on three categories of the Prémio Nacional de Reabilitação Urbana.

The apartment is located in the Avenidas Novas region. The result of urban growth at the end of the 19th century, this neighborhood is made of flat avenues, wide sidewalks and sober architecture, a testimony of the progressive urbanism of engineer Ressano Garcia, influenced by the aesthetic and technical concepts followed by Georges-Eugène Haussmann in the renovation of Paris. It is in Avenidas Novas that the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation is found, a cultural icon of Lisbon, totally unmissable. Very close is the Blue Quarter, an architectural complex from the 1930s, with Art Deco buildings, low reliefs, pilasters, friezes and pediments decorated in the shape of the Amália Rodrigues garden and the Eduardo VII park next door, this is a good area to walk around and shop at El Corte Inglès, the country's largest department store.

Architectural gem, comfortable, great neighborhood

A historic building renovated to be classy, chic and comfortable. We are big walkers so enjoyed 50 minute walk to historic area/Praça do commercio. Easy metro access. The property manager was exceptionally kind and helpful. Perfect for family of four, all adults.

Quiet bright we will return

The apt. Is better than the photos. Very quiet, wonderful light filled spaces, shower pressure is strong, AC works fine with addition of fans which are in good supply. Laundry facilities in kitchen work well. Great location away from busy tourist locations. 1 block from Zara and Humana for shoppers. Coffee shop downstairs. Parks nearby for running. Within walking distance of the awesome Gulbenkian museum. We would definitely rent again. Uber works great here too.

Awesome apartment and great host

The apartment is just as pictured and filled with natural light; comfortable, cozy and felt like home. Beds and sheets and towels were clean and exceptional. Everything worked and worked well. My niece, who is more like a daughter to me, was going to Lisbon for a conference so I flew from States to meet her there and spend some time together. Her flight early in the day of our check in; the host was extremely gracious and made special arrangements for an early check in, The on site host stayed in close contact with Ella as she made her way from the airport to the apartment. By the time I arrived later that afternoon, Ella was completely at home and had all the necessary information to make herself comfortable and at ease. The neighborhood is central, safe, fun and full of life and we explored Lisbon with ease from such a central location. I highly recommend this property and these host and would be thrilled to stay there again when I am in Lisbon.

The unit is beautiful & close to the subway, and some restaurants. It was clean & the beds were great. We were there with 2 couples & rented it because it said it had 2 baths. However, the 2nd bath was just a toilet & sink. It made coordinating showers & getting ready difficult. However, we managed. The one main negative was the towels we were provided. They were so worn & rough we had to go buy towels to use for our stay. We are not super picky, but the towels were truly the worst we’ve ever had in any rental.

Gorgeous apartment in a beautiful location!

This apartment was absolutely beautiful and in a perfect location. The only critique I would have is that the apartment smelled a little of smoke when we first arrived. It cleared out eventually after the first day, however, I thought it should be noted just in case anyone has any allergies. However, the staff was wonderful, the apartment was as pictured and the location is perfect! I would highly recommend this apartment!
