Villa Michelangelo is a lovely 9 bedroom Tuscany holiday rental boasting both an indoor and outdoor swimming pool. Decorated in a mix of Venetian and Tuscan styles reflecting the fact that the owner lives near Venice, it's a great option for large groups and is also well suited for those looking for a base from which to celebrate a special occasion. Guests will be welcomed to the villa with a complimentary welcome buffet of cold meats and cheeses, bread, fruit juices and wine.



The Space:

The interior of this Tuscany holiday rental measures 800 square metres and is laid out over 3 floors.



On the ground floor, an entrance hall leads to a living room with fireplace and bar area. Plenty of comfortable sofas create a relaxed seating area. There is also a dining room and professional kitchen equipped with modern stainless steel units. A separate laundry room is equipped with washing machine. A glass fronted verandah provides a lovely additional area in which to sit and relax in the company of friends and family. This enjoys fantastic views and is the perfect spot to enjoy breakfast. Finally, there is also a WC on this floor and a double bedroom with ensuite shower room. This bedroom is furnished in a more contemporary style.



A lift or internal staircase takes guests up to the first floor of this Tuscany holiday rental. There are 2 bedroom suites here as well as 5 further bedrooms. The suites both boast a living area with comfortable sofas and fireplace, a double bedroom and ensuite bathroom with hydro massage bath tubs. The remaining 5 bedrooms on this floor all have double beds and ensuite shower rooms.



The final bedroom is on the second floor of this Tuscany holiday rental. This is a lovely double room with ensuite shower room. Please note that the ceiling height goes down to 1.8 metres in places.



The interior of this Tuscany holiday rental has been furnished in keeping with the age of the property and the owners have carefully preserved or restored many original features including the cotto flooring, wooden beams and brick ceilings. Antique furnishings provide a real elegance and style to the house.



Outside, this Tuscany holiday rental is surrounded by olive groves and the property enjoys sweeping views over the Tuscan countryside and rolling hills. It is within easy reach of Florence, Siena, Cortona, Assisi, Montepulciano and Chianti.



An outdoor pool (12 x 6 metres and 1.2 - 2.0 metres deep) is accessed via a set of Roman steps. The pool is fenced (giving families with young children extra peace of mind) and is surrounded by pretty gardens. A gazebo provides shade from the midday sun and enjoys stunning views over the surrounding area.



This Tuscany holiday rental also boasts an indoor pool (3 x 5 metres and with a depth of 1.1 metres) which is equipped with counter current system, ideal for the serious swimmer who wants to do some lengths even when the weather prevents you from using the outdoor pool. Please note that this is an extra cost of 450 euros and guests must let us know 2-3 weeks in advance should they wish to use this facility. Adjacent to the pool area is a sauna and a bathroom with shower.



The Neighborhood:

For golf lovers, the famous Golf Club Valdichiana is just 10 km away from this Tuscany holiday rental whilst for foodies, the nearest restaurants and shops are in Foiano della Chiani just 5 km away. Cortona is 17 km away, Arezzo 27 km, Montepulciano 27 km, Montalcino 52 km and Perugia 64 km.



Please note that rates exclude some additional fees payable locally on arrival at this Tuscany holiday rental. These include a 400 euro final cleaning fee and security deposit of 1500 euros payable in cash. The latter is refunded on departure upon the property being left in satisfactory condition. When applicable, heating and A/C is charged at 0.50 euros per KW. Should guests wish to use the indoor spa, sauna and indoor pool area, there is an additional charge of 450 euros per week, to be paid locally. A local tourist tax is also payable on arrival in cash. This is set at 1 euro per person per day for the first 7 days of your stay. It does not apply to children under 14 years of age.



Other Things to Note:

I really like this Tuscany holiday rental and it's certainly a great option if you want to hold a special dinner during your stay to mark a special occasion. The villa is managed locally by Stefano who is absolutely wonderful - extremely efficient, warm and welcoming. If you're part of a larger group and need any extra beds, we can put up to 6 extra single beds in the villa for you (each charged at 60 euros).
