Das Schlafzimmer im Erdgeschoss verfügt über große Panoramafenster, einen gemütlichen Gaskamin und ein Queen-Size-Kissen. Das Doppel-Futon im Skylit-Schlafboden ist sowohl zum Wohnzimmer als auch zum Schlafzimmer im Erdgeschoss geöffnet (obwohl die Kissen zur Verbesserung der Privatsphäre umgestellt werden können). Wondeful!

It was such a fun house and so much for my kids to explore and they LOVED to loft! The owner was very reaponsive and the house was just as advertised! Loved having all the outdoor spaces too!

Wonderful place full of character and charm with outdoor spaces that are a joy to spend time in (even when the weather is on the cool side). Location is also easily walkable to both Nulu and Bardstown road neighborhoods

Perfect stay!

The artist cottage was absolutely wonderful! We were surrounded by creative, beautiful art everywhere we turned. This was the best place we've stayed. It was quaint and very peaceful. The owners were so accommodating. Do yourself a favor and check it out. We will most definitely be back.

Up on a hill

Enjoyed our stay at the artsy cabin. Little oasis in the middle of the city. Loved the decks and all the art and curiosities. Marjie was very responsive with any inquiries. Would stay here again.

Creative Sanctuary

This was perhaps the most unique VRBO we’ve ever stayed it. The space is dripping in organic and intentional art that begs you to linger a while and contribute a verse, so to speak. Loved the quiet neighborhood and easy accessibility to dining and entertainment - though just spending time in the cottage was blissful all on its own. Definitely recommend this spot for art appreciators looking for peace and inspiration!

What a perfect home-away-from home for our family! The outdoor spaces were hideaways in the tree tops and so inviting. From morning coffee on the deck to an afternoon nap on the outdoor Red Couch to evenings on the porch with cricket sounds, you’d never guess you were minutes from downtown. Convenient location that allowed us to easily balance touristy activities with stops at the CoTTaGe to rest and refuel. Well-equipped kitchen made it so we could roll in after a 7hr drive and quickly throw together a delicious meal to eat al fresco with our adult daughter whom we were visiting. Our 16yr old son loved ‘his nest’ in the loft as well as the musical instruments to toy around with. The neighbor cat, Big Time, was also a homey favorite. We spent 5 nights and were still finding fun, quirky, thoughtful touches as we left. This will definitely be our 1st choice stay when we return to Louisville!

A Hidden Treasure!

The Artist Cottage is an oasis in the city! It is private, quiet and was extremely convenient and close to everywhere we needed to be in Louisville. Such a charming neighborhood! The owners are responsive and have thought of absolutely everything. The Artists Cottage is truly a home away from home and we hope we can stay again in the future when traveling to the city. We loved our visit! Thank you for the delightful respite!

Enjoyed our stay

We absolutely loved our stay at the Artist Cottage. Great location and very clean but what we enjoyed the most was the decor and the back deck. The host are very helpful and easy to reach if you are in need of anything. The driveway is e a little bit of a hassle if you struggle walking up steep gravel. I do hope it won’t deter you from staying because even the driveway is even decorated with little heart shaped rocks along the walls. Every piece of this property is touched by love. Our daughter is moving to Louisville in August and we will be staying here again….many times.

Cozy, happy feeling cottage in a safe and quiet location

We stayed at The ArTisTs CoTTaGe during Christmas week to visit family. The cottage was very comfortable and pleasant, offering many different artistic views both inside and out. I wasn’t sure if new art had been placed outside overnight or if I just failed to notice it the previous day. It was such a pleasure to walk around and see something new every day. The owners were very prompt with responses to any questions that I may have had. I would definitely recommend this cottage.

Magical cottage

We stayed a few days on spring break in this magical cottage and wished we had booked a longer stay. This cottage was perfect for our young and creative family. There were books, art, and toys everywhere - even after a few days, we were finding new surprises that made us smile. This cottage forced us all to slow down. For the first time in years, we listened to CDs and watched DVDs, rather than streaming content. We all created art with the supplies left for guests to enjoy. We all loved the outdoor space and had one wonderful rainy evening in the covered area. The hosts were amazing - very responsive, helpful and kind. Their spirit infused the cottage. The cottage was in a great location that made it easy to explore Louisville. We had never been to Louisville and could have easily spent another week exploring shops and restaurants. We can't wait to come back.

We have stayed at the Artist Cottage several times, and we always love it! The cottage is filled with happiness and warmth, even during an arctic freeze!! The owners, Marjie and Dennis, are the best hosts! They even came over and shoveled the walk for us!

Unique property

We enjoyed all the artsy & whimsical touches. Private back porch. Close to whiskey row. Comfortable bed. The walk up the driveway would be difficult for elderly or someone with a disability. Not a problem for us. We very much enjoyed our get away.

Anniversary getaway

The cottage is exactly what we were looking for. Perfect for couples. The decor is unique and fun. The cottage is old but maintained very well. It is very clean and has a nice outdoor space. The host is very nice and easy to communicate with. We would definitely stay again the next time we visit the Louisville area. Great location, close to a variety of restaurants and bars.

Cute and Cozy

We enjoyed our stay! What a cute cottage, just enough space for 2 adults with space to be separate when needed. The outdoor spaces were wonderful, just wish the Louisville weather cooperated more for our visit. It was just so comfortable and cute. Loved all the art sprinkled all over the home, saw something new everyday! Would definitely go back!

Leaving Louisville

Short stay on our last weekend before leaving Kentucky. Had a billion things going on, worried about flights, bags, kiddo, move, but didn't have to worry about this rental. Wonderful place, we got another snow and we're stuck in the house most of the weekend. And what a great house to be stuck in! Great communication, exceptionally accomodatingand just the best vibes!

AMAZING!

This Cottage awakes a youthfulness and amazement. Super cozy and suprb amenities both indoors and outside. To say the Hosts are Super is a major understatement. MarJie and Dennis bent over backwards to help us with anything needed from check in to check out. We had a blast. A must book cottage for couples.

The cutest little getaway!

We had the best time staying at this property. The Artist Cottage is even better than described online. They really thought of everything. Not only was it a great little getaway but it's in a beautiful area close to a lot of great bars, restaurants, and shops. The hosts were amazing and extremely communicative. I will absolutely be back!
