This was our third trip to this lovely home. We bring our four kids and spend time at the beach canoeing and kayaking, hiking in the nearby mountains. The house is perfect. The boys stay in the ground floor room and our daughter takes the second floor. This year she brought a friend and they both had their own room. My husband and I take the main floor bedroom. The house is stocked with extra towels (which was great because we forgot our own this year and the washer and dryer work great!). We like to grill on the deck and enjoy the screened in porch when it gets really hot, although this year the weather was perfect so we ate on the deck too. Also nice, the house has a plethora of spices, so you don't have to remember every little recipe detail and the basic dry staples seem to always be there (ie sugar for my morning coffee). My husband and I love to get up early to see the sunrise over the mountains and lake and spend quiet time reading with our coffee on the deck. Now that our kids are a little older, they had a blast driving the golf cart to the beach, feeling a little more independant (we walk). The kids spent most of their day playing at the beach, swimming, and boating - that real summer, no requirements kind of play that grows their curiosity and imaginations. It always amazes me with the age spread of 10 years how this place brings the whole group together. The kids canoe around the corner of the cove and go exploring in the water that isn't so deep, so even the youngest feels confident. It's quiet and secluded, yet near to restaurants, shopping, and golf. Can't say enough great things about this place.
