"High Wind Daze" ist die Wohnung von Mike und Christina Burns und wurde gerade komplett renoviert! Mit einer neuen Küche, Bädern, Böden, Fenstern und Türen ist alles makellos. Es liegt direkt neben Ocean Air Sports in North Avon, NC, nur einen kurzen Spaziergang von den Stränden des Ozeans und ein paar Schritte vom Sound entfernt. Es befindet sich in der obersten Etage von Pamlico Point und ist der perfekte Ort mit der besten Aussicht im Gebäude! Es ist das Paradies für Wassermänner! Beobachten Sie morgens den Sonnenaufgang über dem Meer auf dem Vorderdeck bei einer Tasse Kaffee und gönnen Sie sich anschließend einen Cocktail für die schönsten Sonnenuntergänge an der Ostküste auf dem hinteren privaten Balkon. Dazwischen können Sie sich auf das Wasser begeben, um ein Wassersportabenteuer des Tages zu erleben, im Pool zu entspannen oder vom privaten Steg an unserem eigenen kleinen Bach zu angeln, der direkt zu den Klängen führt. Es gibt einen öffentlichen Zugang zur Meerseite direkt über die Autobahn, sodass sowohl der Zugang zum Meer als auch der Zugang zum Meer zu Fuß erreichbar sind. Für diejenigen, die ihr eigenes Wasserspielzeug mitbringen, gibt es ein großes Abstellfach im Erdgeschoss, um alles zwischen den Sitzungen aufzubewahren. Wenn Sie ins Wasser wollen, ist Oceanair Sports gleich nebenan und bietet Kiteboarding, Windsurfen, Kajakfahren, Stand Up Paddle und Jet-Skiverleih an. Neu für 2019 ist auch ein wunderbares Restaurant gleich nebenan! Wir lieben es im "High Wind Daze" zu bleiben und wissen, dass Sie es auch werden.

Great condo in a new location

Very clean, comfortable condo, exactly as advertised. Quiet community with a nice pool. Easy 8-minute walk to the beautiful beach which was never crowded. Great communication with the owner. Great for our family of 5 with three teenagers.

Peaceful Retreat

My husband and I loved this condo and would like to stay there again on our next visit. The view was so very peaceful and we loved sitting on the deck for our morning coffee and our evening downtime. Mike was great to communicate with and helped make our trip easy. The condo is super clean and the bed is comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and while we did not use the pool it looked very clear and inviting. I would recommend this unit to all my family and friends!

Perfect property for our family vacation

"High Wind Daze" was the great property for our recent family vacation. With two bedrooms and two bathrooms it was the perfect setup for my wife and I and our two younger children. The property was very clean upon arrival and had recently been remodeled. It was in great condition. The property owner Mike was great to deal with. He always provided very prompt responses to any inquiries. And he lives in the area in the event you have any issues. Although we had no issues and nothing but a great time. Couldn't recommended this property more

Great Place

There were 5 of us. I slept on the pull out couch, and I thought the condo was very comfortable for all of us. The condo was clean, and the views were great. It was a short walk to the beach which was quiet and not very crowded. We also liked having the pool there for a change of pace with the kids. The neighbors were great and everything was convenient to shopping.

Condo by the Sound

We enjoyed the fantastic location for continuing to learn to windsurf, and also taking our paddle boards out on Spencer's Creek right from the condo which accesses the sound. Staying next to OceanAir Sports made it so convenient to rent windsurfers for a morning session, break for lunch, and then an afternoon back on the sound. We also utilized the pool almost every day. We had fun biking around to restaurants and the neighborhoods. Loved heading to the beach for sunrises, and finishing the day with dazzling sunsets viewed from the deck.

The floors were filthy upon arrival. We had to clean the floors immediately. They were so covered in sand and dirt we could not walk barefoot until we cleaned up. End tables in the master bedroom to be able to read would be nice. Also lightbulb out in the living room. Deck chairs too low to enjoy the view. As our dog and cat died while we were there, we left early. Not owners fault just all around bad time.

Great stay

Communication with the owner Mike was great. Gave great information and recommendations about places to eat and things to do in the area. Condo was a nice size, well equipped and very clean. The kitchen had lots of pots, pans, dishes, small appliances and newer fridge and stove. Beautiful sunsets every night from the large back deck with plenty of seating. Two things that are mentioned in the listing that I would emphasize is that there are a lot of steps so unpacking and packing is quite a chore. Also, if you are like my family and take lots of chairs, umbrellas, toys etc to the beach; it’s a bit of a hike. It’s just one block away but seems longer as you have to traverse a long wooden walkway and a sandy path across the dunes. We took several beach walks using that access but for our full beach days we drove to the pier which was about 1 mile away. The location is close to the shops and restaurants and only a short drive to neighboring towns. If you are looking for larger activities or chain restaurants it’s about a 45 minute drive to nags head / kill devil hills area. The pool was great. Always clean and warm. We utilized the laundry room which was handy and efficient. We brought kayaks to take right out in the sound with the direct access at the property. The storage locker was spacious enough for our three kayaks and plenty more. There are also kayak storage areas built in underneath the deck. Overall no complaints. Great condo. Great communication. Great vacation.

High Wind Daze

Our family stayed at High Wind Daze from September 8-13. Mike and Christina were great to work with. Once our reservation was confirmed, Mike sent all the details so there were no questions on what to expect. And when I asked to add a day to my stay, I received an immediate response, even letting me know there were additional dates open if I wanted them. Payment was super easy. The condo was updated and decorated beautifully! We had all of the comforts of home. Mike suggested a couple of restaurants to visit, which we did and were not disappointed. And the neighbors were very friendly. We visited Hatteras Lighthouse and went on a Wild Pony Tour, which were both fun. Our only issue, which was not at the fault of Mike and Christina, is that the maintenance crew came to change the furnace filters at 9:00 am the morning after we arrived. We arrived very late, and wanted to sleep in just a bit. Maintenance knocked and walked right in, without giving a chance for anyone to come to the door. One of the members in our group is a Police Officer, and as anyone knows, they don't like being startled like that. Other than that, the stay was wonderful. I highly recommend the High Wind Daze, and hope we can schedule another trip in the near future. Thanks to Mike and Christina!!!

Outer bank review

We had a wonderful time in the Outer Banks exploring, swimming, walking on the beach, and many more wonderful activities. The house was close to everything including a place to rent kayaks and a restaurant. You cn also walk a few blocks or drive to other restaurants. It was a great vacation!

pamlico point est un emplacement idéal pour la famille. plage magnifique(cote atlantique), piscine tres agréable avec juste ce qu'il faut d'ombre. L'acces a island creek(côté canal) permet la pratique de sports nautiques tels que planche a voile, kite surf, kayak. À proximité 1 minute de marche : pohouse et son excellent.menu, ocean air sports pour la location et les cours de sports nautiques. à 3 minutes du Foodlion. Un endroit a découvrir et redécouvrir.

Christina and Mike Burns are avid windsurfers. After 20+ years of renting properties in Avon every spring and fall for their windsurfing vacations, they decided to purchase "High Wind Daze" to be able to spend even more time in their favorite place on the planet. After spending their first winter renovating this condo, they decided that the Outer Banks was the place they wanted to call home. They left New York and moved to the Outer Banks full time in 2017. It's also nice to have the piece of mind that the owners of your rental property are only a short trip away to resolve any emergency situations that pop up while you are on your vacation.

Walk right to the water on both the sound and ocean sides. Shopping and restaurants are nearby. This property is on the top floor, and also a corner unit. Best views in the building and private. Staying here is the ultimate combination of excitement and relaxation.

Beyond the easy sound and ocean access, there is also a creek with a private dock that is perfect for fishing, and launching a SUP or Kayak. The top floor has the best views in the building and being an end unit adds more views in every direction. The onsite pool is only available to guests staying in the building and is an excellent option to take a break from the beach.
