Our interaction with the host was pleasant and responsive. The location was outstanding and allowed ample opportunity to visit many sites along the Silver Coast and elsewhere. There were no surprises, it was just as advertised.

Spectacular Views

Spectacular Views of ocean, lagoon, Peniche, and offshore islands. Great location for walking to beachfront restaurants. Host was accessible and responsive throughout our stay.

We Lucked Out

We were so lucky to find this gem in Foz do Arelho. Great views, great accommodations, in a great location. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised to find that the property was even more beautiful in person than the photos suggested. Highly recommend.

While we had some minor improvement suggestions for the owners, this is a great property if you want beach time or fishing/clamming opportunities. Great view and beach access with nice pool for 10 units in property.

Another Wonderful Stay!

My husband and I have stayed at this apartment about five times now because we love the location, view, comfort, cleanliness and ease of communication with Ana. On several stays, we’ve needed flexibility with the check-in time and Ana has always accommodated us. She also responds to messages immediately. A great place to stay and we highly recommend!

Beautiful!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Foz Penthouse. The property is beautiful and so are the views! Our time here was quiet and relaxing. We enjoyed cooking some nice meals and going out to eat in the area. Daily walks to the beach were amazing, watching people wind surfing, and soaking up some sunshine before returning home to coming winter was a perfect way to end our trip to Portugal and Spain.

Amazing Property and Incredible Location!

We just wrapped up a stay at this property and cannot wait to go back! The apartment is beautiful, with stunning views over the lagoon and the ocean. We loved the large outdoor patio where we could sit for hours... This property is in the best location possible in Foz, within easy walking distance of the lagoon, the beach, and half a dozen fun seafood restaurants. Ana the host is fantastic, highly organized and responsive, and helped make our stay truly special. A truly AMAZING property!

Beautiful views!

Nice apartment with lovely views! Clean and decent bedrooms. The two back bedrooms were a little warm during our stay.It was nice to have a kitchen and laundry.Overall, this was a very good stay, but could have been better with a well stocked kitchen (for example, we ended up buying some knives because the knives in this apartment did not work very well) and maybe a few extras like more than one towel provided per person.

We always aim to offer a high-quality property and responsive service, and we're easily reachable during your stay. It’s a pity you didn’t mention the knives, as we would have gladly replaced or added more. This is the first time we've received such feedback and will look at this deeper. For a 4 or 5-day stay, we provide two towels per person (hand and bath), in line with holiday rental standards, plus complimentary beach towels. We would have happily provided more if requested. Unfortunately, the beach towels were returned with marks from what appeared to be bleach or chemicals. While we didn’t apply any penalty, a heads-up would have been appreciated. Thanks again for staying with us — we’re pleased you had a very good experience overall and hope to host you again. Warm regards,

Stunning location, wonderful apartment

Excellent comfortable and spacious apartment with great access and an amazing view over the lagoon and ocean. Cannot recommend too highly. The photos in the listing look great, but they don’t do it justice. This is an exceptional rental property, and we cant wait to go back there.

Excellent apartment

We had a fabulous week staying here. The apartment is as listed apart from the en-suite bathroom only has a shower curtain separating it from the bedroom rather than a door. I personally found this a little odd. Other than that it is a wonderful apartment with incredible views & only a short walk to the beach.

We were very satisfied with our stay in Foz do Arelho, especially because the apartment was wonderful. It is spacious, bright, airy, and tastefully and comfortably furnished, with a beautiful view of the lagoon and the ocean. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. Parking in front of the building was absolutely hassle-free during our stay.The apartment’s location is excellent, just a few steps from the coastal restaurants and a good bakery. In nearby Caldas da Rainha, you can buy all your groceries, both at local markets (vegetables, fruit, flowers, fish, and seafood) and in well-stocked supermarkets).There are plenty of opportunities for hiking along the Atlantic coast or inland, as well as for day trips to nearby towns and villages (São Martinho do Porto, Nazaré, Alcobaça, Óbidos, Rio Maior, Peniche, etc.). Walks around the lagoon are also very nice. Communication with Ana and Richard was excellent; they responded to our questions almost immediately and promptly took care of whatever was needed (for example, they quickly and efficiently adjusted the heating when the temperature outside dropped sharply and unexpectedly). All in all, we highly recommend this apartment and hope that this first visit of ours wasn’t our last.

Journey Home

We started planning our trip to Foz do Arelho in January, 2023. My husband's grandfather grew up in the town, so my husband had heard about it his whole life. Finding accommodations was intimidating, but this we just kept coming back to the pictures of this unit. The view was captivating. Our hosts were very easy to communicate with, very accommodating. They were even waiting for us when we arrived to greet us and show us around the unit. The view that we had seen in pictures was even more captivating in person. The unit was exactly as the pictures showed. It was very comfortable and well equipped. I would most certainly recommend this unit.
