Das Beaver Island Chalet ist lichtdurchflutet und liegt in einer wunderschönen bewaldeten Bucht. Windows umgibt den offenen, geräumigen Wohnbereich. Locke dich am Feuer zusammen, spiele Klavier und andere Instrumente, lese ein Buch, mache ein Puzzle, koche ein Abendessen, baue ein Lagerfeuer, genieße einen kurzen Spaziergang (1/8 Meile) hinunter zum See oder fahre eine Meile nach Donegal Bucht für spektakuläre Sonnenuntergänge! Es ist weniger als zwei Meilen in die Stadt, so planen Sie für ein Auto oder Fahrräder. Erkunden Sie diese magische Insel!

Die Gäste haben ein eigenes Doppelbett und ein eigenes Bad mit Dusche im Erdgeschoss, ein geräumiges offenes Loft im Obergeschoss mit Kingsize-Bett, Sichtschutz, Vollbad und viel Teppichboden für das volle Luftbett. Das Wohnzimmersofa im Erdgeschoss kann zu einem Futonbett umfunktioniert werden.

Das ganze Haus steht Ihnen zur Verfügung und ich werde während Ihres Aufenthalts nicht vor Ort sein, aber ich werde mit Ihnen kommunizieren. Ich kann die Nachbarn kontaktieren, wenn Sie während Ihres Aufenthalts etwas benötigen.

Clean, charming, good location

This is a charming cottage, in a good location on Beaver Island. It's close to town, but still in the woods, for that "getaway" feeling. We love Beaver Island, and the home was an extra nice way to enjoy our stay here. Washer and dryer an added bonus.

Perfect accommodations!

This peaceful location was exactly what we were looking for! There were plenty of comfy sleeping locations for everyone, great spaces for morning coffee- inside or out, and only 10 min drive from town (20 min bike ride/30 min walk)! We also loved being so close to Donegal Bay for sunsets and walks on the beach. Thank you Linda for sharing your home away from home!

Wonderful Space

Lovely rental that accommodated our 5 adults well. Appreciated the piano (!) and eclectic CDs and albums. Within easy walking/biking distance to Donegal Bay and a family friendly beach. Love the island and the accessibility that Linda's place offered.

it is in the woods for sure

After getting our bearings we found Ruby's Chalet and it was a real treat. It was everything the owner said it would be. It is secluded in the woods but a short distance from Donegal Bay. It is close to town which was a plus. Well stocked kitchen too. Both bedrooms do have showers, that was a plus.

Comfortable Ruby Chalet

Tucked into a small wood lot, Ruby Chalet was a comfortable retreat for myself and three sisters. A short drive to Donagel Bay made it easy to view evening sunsets and walk the beach or take a swim. Many windows made it easy to enjoy an evening bonfire from inside or outside the chalet. All the amenities of home made a wonderful retreat after spending the day exploring all outlying areas of the island.

Perfect Chalet Getaway

The cottage is such a peaceful and beautiful chalet in the most serene setting! We had a wonderful time exploring the island during the day and relaxing and playing games in the evening. Cozy and welcoming

Ruby's Chalet was clean and comfortable. Lots of personal touches in the decor made it cozy. It had everything our family needed for a fun and relaxing island adventure. The owner was a good communicator and the cabin was easy to access. While we were on the island we enjoyed taking day trips and enjoying the many beautiful beaches and nature trails the island has to offer. Fishing and watching sunsets at Donegal bay were also favorites. My daughter loved staying in the upstairs loft and enjoyed the art supplies provided.

A home away from home

This was in the top two of places I’ve rented in the past ten years. It was clean, comfortable, and really charming! We felt very much at home while we were there which made our experience more relaxing and enjoyable. It was quiet, private, and surrounded by gorgeous woods. Linda checked in the day we arrived and the day before we left to make sure everything was going well. I personally love Beaver Island due to the natural beauty (the beaches, woods) and the fact that it’s not commercialized and full of tourists. If you’re looking to get away from it all and spend time in nature this is a wonderful place to visit!

Comfortable Boho Chic Chalet

This was our first visit to Beaver Island. The week on the island felt as if we were on a retreat. The Beaver Island Chalet deepened that sense for us. Enclosed by trees and quiet, it is a comfortable place to rest after hiking trails and simply be. A good walk from Donegal Bay and no sense of its closeness to town. We want to thank Linda for pointing out Gene Masta’s garden. We had a long chat with him.

We had a very good experience with this Chalet in the woods. Very clean and very well stocked. Linda did a very good job with all the details. The only suggestion is to replace the grill, it has seen better days. We ended buying a disposable grill to use Facebook r our stay. Otherwise, it was wonderful!

Friends Week

We love Beaver Island!! It was a great place to get away to and relax and Linda was a great host giving me suggestions before our stay and leaving notes/binder for us. The cottage was perfect for our needs. The upstairs was great for our friends who brought their little one. It fit all their needs and allowed some quiet time for naps.

Born and raised downstate, I moved to Beaver Island from Nashville, Tennessee where I lived for 23 years. I worked in non-profit agencies and healthcare, and played music professionally as part of the Nashville Dulcimer Quartet. I was fortunate to study at Vanderbilt University's Blair School of Music under a brilliant and kind adjunct professor and mountain dulcimer virtuoso. In 2016, I discovered Beaver Island and this beautiful little chalet. I lived on the island until caring for my late father took me downstate, where I live now. I work as a writer and care for my mother and come up to the island as often as I can to manage our retreat.

I purchased this home as a writer's cabin and a place for my dog, Ruby, and I to immerse ourselves in natural beauty. I was brought to Beaver Island by a dear friend from college days-- who lives down the road from me now! I fell in love with the island on my first visit! The cove our chalet is set in is a magical, peaceful setting.

This house is really my dream house. After living in a small cottage in Nashville which was shaded and didn't have much light or space, I needed the light and open floor plan of this chalet. I love the counter and bar stools in the kitchen for morning espresso and reading/studying/writing. The back of the house is wrap around windows overlooking the wooded ridge covered with ferns and mossy logs, and I feel like I live in a park! It's a dog's heaven here, with miles to explore and I feel safe letting her explore with me. The back deck is magical for stargazing. In the fall and winter, the beauty is almost unbelievable. It is other-worldly when the lake freezes and ice/snow formations develop along the shore. Like another planet. The play of the light on the ice at sunset is photographer's dream. I am grateful every day to get to live in this special house on an extraordinary island.
