Beautiful, homey stay!

Silvia's place was truly lovely for our family of six. We loved the apartment and the private garden. Our hosts were wonderful and made sure we had everything we needed as well as great recommendations for local restaurants and activities. Silvia's daughter Eliana and the rest of her family truly treated us like family as soon as we arrived and made us feel so welcome. We’d love to come visit again and reccomend them highly to anyone looking in the area!

Nice Stay

This very nice apartment is away from the Pompeii tourist traps. The apartment was huge and the accommodations very comfortable. Hosts speak little to no English, but Google Translate helped bridge the gap. They were very kind and welcoming, despite the lateness of our arrival. If you plan to see the ruins, a Pompeii archeological site entrance (SW corner of the site) is 1500 meters from the place and walkable, but if you have a tour that meets at Villa dei Misteri, you'll need to get your transportation straight as it is considerably farther away. After three days, we never fully figured out the bus system. Bus stops sometimes seem to be unmarked, and busses scheduled to stop at ones that were, never appeared. One bus driver drove right past us, waving a finger indicating he would not be stopping even though it was the bus we were waiting. Another said "No public" when we asked if he was headed to Scafati. We never saw a taxi (expensive, we heard), even though we were told they exist. We had some long walks as a result!

Einziges Manko war die Raumtemperatur. Weder der Vermieter noch ich selber konnten die Heizungssteuerung so verändern das eine individuelle zeitliche Anhebung und Absenkung möglich war.

Vermieterfamilie sehr nett, Tochter spricht auch Englisch. Wohnung großzügig, sauber und zentral für den Besuch der archäologischen Stätten der Umgebung mit dem eigenen Auto oder mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitten.

großzügige, modern und geschmackvoll eingerichtete Wohnung

Die Fewo liegt in einer relativ ruhigen Seitenstraße, ist mit 2 separaten Schlafzimmern ausgestattet und bietet für 4 Personen (notfalls auch 6) alles, was man braucht (fast, aber was in der Küche gefehlt hat, hat die Vermieterin auf Anfrage beigesteuert). Der "Garten" ist ein gefließter schattenspendender kleiner Hof mit zwei Zitronenbäumen (lecker!!!). Die beiden Bahnhöfe liegen etwa 20 Min. zu Fuß entfernt, zu den Ausgrabungen in Pompeji braucht man zu Fuß 20-30 Min. Die Vermieterin spricht nur Italienisch, ihre Tochter ein paar Worte Deutsch und Englisch, beide sind außerordentlich freundlich und hilfsbereit.

The appartment is very nice and very clean

Sylvia was nice enough to bring her niece to translate from Italian to English. Sylvia with her niece were waiting for us when we arrived. They showed us everything in the apartment and how things worked. They are very friendly and had all kinds of pamphlets for us to review if we needed. The niece recommended this little grocery store not to far from the apartment and the food was excellent. The only negative thing is that they had no coffee machine and what was there was a on the stove percolator which took a while to make our coffee and it made the coffee way to strong. But that is the only thing. Thank you Sylvia

Cerca de Pompeya

El alojamiento es amplio, correcto, y muy cerca de la antigua Pompeya , por lo que me ha parecido muy bien ubicado para acceder a Pompeya. En la zona se aparca bien en la calle ,, por lo que si vas con coche es ideal la zona.. La propietaria es muy amable y todo han sido facilidades por su parte.

A wonderful apartment in a non-tourist town

Our time at this apartment in Scafati was too short! The place was cool, comfortable and the owners (who live downstairs) very friendly and helpful! We had come to the area to see ancient Pompei and looked for a reasonably placed place near Pompei. We did not realize that where we would meet our guide was 5.5 kilometers away (there is an entrance to Pompei only a kilometer away,) and we needed a cab. Silvia, the owner, kindly called one for us. The cab driver she called was right on time. Silvia checked later to make sure it was all right and that the taxi had come. There is a well equipped kitchen but we were not there long enough to do any cooking. There are several restaurants a short walk away. Having just come from Rome, it was nice to be in a place with almost no tourists! If you happen to go to Scafati during the 4th weekend in July, you will be there for Scafati’s celebration of its patron saint. We could not figure out why there were fireworks and a parade with marching band. A little internet searching gave me the answer. One thing to be aware of is that Silvia does not speak much English (and we speak very little Italian.) Google Translate came to the rescue! My family and I strongly recommend this apartment!

Lovely apartment, good location for exploring pompeii and surrounding area.

We have just got back from a wonderful stay at casa signorile in pompei. The accomodation itself is set a little way down from the main square in pompei and the ruins themselves which means it is nice and quiet, however with an easy 20 minute walk you can be in the centre with all of the attractions and train station. The accomodation was very clean, comfortable and well equiped for self catering. The property did not have a kettle but when we asked the hosts they very kindly sourced one for us within a couple of hours! The hosts, Eliana and her family, could not have been more accomodating. Upon arrival they met us at the property, let us in, showed us around and took the time to give us some good advice on exploring the area including places to eat. Their hosting did not stop there, they were on the end of a phone if we needed anything and came to see us out at the end of our stay. Would definately recommend this accomodation to anyone visiting pompeii and the surrounding area. Thank you to Eliana and her family for letting us stay in their apartment.

Immaculately clean, well-equipped apartment with small private garden

The host responded promptly to all queries before our stay and greeted us on arrival. The apartment seems to have been recently refurbished; finishings are to a high standard and the decor is stylish. The kitchen had all the staples as well as a range of breakfast foods. The bathroom had the largest range of toiletries we have ever seen in any accommodation. We were reliant on public transport. The property is under 2km from the train station and we walked into Pompeii and back without difficulty (approx. 20 minutes). We selected this property over those on offer in Pompeii because it was far better value; 20 minute walk is a small price to pay for the convenience this apartment offers.

AWESOME property

This was our favorite place to stay in Italy over all the places we rented. It's within walking distance to Pompei, in a quieter setting. The apartment is large, was more than beautiful, and we had our own outside private garden! The neighbors and Silvia's sister were very sweet and helpful! We didn't understand the washing machine - there is a "rapido" program we were supposed to be using, instead of a prewash cycle - but the neighbors helped us figure it out - the cycles were in Italian. The people in the village of Scafanti were also kind, patient and helpful, and the prices in town are lower than in other areas.

Wonderful apartment a reasonable walking distance from Pompeii

This is a lovely apartment that's large, clean and comfortable. We stayed 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. There's a wash machine which worked very well and was very welcome. The decoration is simple and modern. Definitely recommend this apartment.

Large modern and comfortable apartment and paved garden in Scafati

The apartment is in a modern house in Scafati and is large, clean, comfortable, well-equipped and has the use of a small paved garden, we had a very happy stay. There is air-con for the summer. The owners are very helpful and live upstairs but do not speak English. The apartment is about 15 minutes walk from the central square in Pompei, 20 minutes from the main station and also 20 minutes to the rear entrance to the Pompei archaeological site. The main entrance and the Circumvesuviiana station for Sorrento are about 30 minutes' walk, The unpredictable number 4 bus links the apartment and town centre and ends not far from the site. There is a supermarket and good range of local food shops near the apartment.

Very welcoming and comfortable

Very welcoming and helpful in transportation and planning. The accommodations were amazing. Enjoyed the snacks and water upon arrival after a long trip. Close enough to walk to Pompeii ruins, train station and local church (1/2 hour). Enjoyed sitting outside after dinner and the lemon trees. Use of google translate was helpful.

Clean modern apartment

Lovely apartment which was great for me and my girlfriend to stay in. Great host but does not speak English so brush up a bit before going! Nice bed and kitchen with everything you need. Short walk to Pompeii around 10/15 mins. Location isn't quite as picturess as Pompeii itself but still good and great pizza places near by! Would recommend a stay if you know a bit of Italian

Mi chiamo Silveria e abito a Scafati fin dalla nascita, Diplomata in ragioneria sposata con due figlie e tre nipoti e mio marito Salvatore che collabora con me a tempo pieno da quando è andato in pensione 12 mesi fa era un bancario. mi piace molto cucinare e ho la passione per i dolci. Sono diventata un host perché avendo una palazzina di quattro appartamenti, riqualificandoli come casa vacanze un appartamento di 85 mq con sei posti letto con giardino e l'altro di 125 mq riqualificato con tre Suite un monolocale e due monolocali e un terrazzo sull'attico di 200 mq con veranda in vetro con copertura in legno di 35 mq. attrezzata di piano cottura, lavello, lavastoviglie, smart tv 32 pollici a parete, macchina da caffè e vetrina attrezzata con piatti, pentole, posate ecc. tavolo e 12 sedie tavolini sedie e lettini da sole e piante ornamentali e vista Vesuvio e Monte Faito.

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

Abito in questa intera struttura di mia proprietà da quando sono sposata da oltre 40 anni, mi piace molto perchè è una zona residenziale tranquilla e ci sono tutti i servizi, supermarket, caseificio, bar e pasticceria, pizzeria, posta, banca, pescheria, macelleria, negozi abbigliamento ecc. e vicinissimi all'ingresso autostradale a 200 e a pochi passi da Pompei dalla costiera sorrentina e amalfitana e dagli scavi archeologici di Pompei.

L'intera struttura di 3 piani è stata ristrutturata da poco sia esternamente che internamente, l'appartamento al piano rialzato con sei posti letto ha di pertinenza un giardino attrezzato con tavolo e sedie con piante ornamentali e due piante di limoni. Le tre Suite al secondo piano con totali nove posti letto con pertinenza e condivisa una terrazza sull'attico di 200 mq. vista Vesuvio, veranda in vetro e tettoia in legno attrezzata di tutto per cenare eventualmente in gruppo.
