Seagrass ist eine beliebte, gut ausgestattete Ferienwohnung mit zwei Schlafzimmern und Panoramablick auf das Meer über Capstone. Die Wohnung befindet sich im zweiten Stock einer denkmalgeschützten georgianischen Terrasse in ruhiger, ruhiger Lage mit Blick auf das historische Brockshole Field (komplett mit grasenden Schafen) bis zum Meer. Der Hafen von Ilfracombe und die Fore Street sind nur 5 Gehminuten entfernt und bieten eine Auswahl an ausgezeichneten Restaurants, darunter ein mit einem Michelin-Stern ausgezeichnetes Restaurant.

Seagrass verfügt über zwei Schlafzimmer (eines mit Kingsize-Bett, eines mit zwei Einzelbetten) und bietet bequem Platz für vier Erwachsene. Bei Bedarf kann in jedem Schlafzimmer ein Reisebett (zusammen mit einem Hochstuhl) untergebracht werden. Sowohl das Hauptschlafzimmer als auch das Wohnzimmer haben große Schiebefenster mit fantastischem Blick auf das Meer. Das Wohnzimmer verfügt über viele bequeme Sitzgelegenheiten und einen Smart-TV mit BBC, ITV und Channel 4 iPlayer, NetFlix, Amazon on Demand usw. Es gibt auch einen DVD-Player mit einer guten Auswahl an DVDs, Büchern und Spielen. Das Wohnzimmer grenzt an einen gut ausgestatteten Küchenbereich (einschließlich Waschmaschine und Trockner) mit einem Esstisch für 4 bis 5 Personen. Kostenloses WLAN ist ebenfalls verfügbar.
Es gibt einen zugewiesenen Parkplatz auf der Rückseite der Terrasse, wo sich der gemeinsame Eingang befindet. Möglicherweise müssen Sie Ihr Auto jedoch nicht bewegen, da so viel zu Fuß erreichbar ist. Es gibt eine Reihe großartiger Pubs und Restaurants, darunter das kürzlich mit einem Michelin-Stern ausgezeichnete Restaurant Thomas Carr im Olive Room (ein kleines Restaurant, also buchen Sie frühzeitig, um Enttäuschungen zu vermeiden). Es gibt viele lokale Geschäfte, darunter einen ausgezeichneten lokalen Metzger, Fischhändler und Obst- und Gemüsehändler sowie mehrere Bäcker. Etwas weiter entfernt liegen Woolacombe Beach, Croyde und Saunton Sands, und Exmoor und der Tarka Trail befinden sich vor der Haustür. Es ist eine fantastische Gegend zum Erkunden.
Wechseltag ist in der Regel Samstag, kann aber außerhalb der Hauptsaison ausgehandelt werden. Die Ankunftszeit ist in der Regel nach 16:00 Uhr und die Abreise bis 10:00 Uhr. Dies kann jedoch flexibel sein, wenn dies mit unserer Haushälterin besprochen wird.
Kurzurlaube (mindestens 3 Tage) außerhalb der Hauptsaison können arrangiert werden.
Hinweis: Der hintere Eingang ist sonnig und einladend. Es gibt jedoch einige Stufen, die vom Parkplatz zum Eingang im Erdgeschoss und einige Stufen im Inneren zum zweiten Stock führen. Beautiful and homely

We really enjoyed our stay, it has great views from the widows and only a five minute Walk from the centre. Very clean as well didn't feel the need to have a quick wipe over. Would highly recommend if you stay in ilfracombe.

Lovely apartment, perfect location - great views

I stayed at Seagrass with my partner and two other friends over the new year period. The flat was perfect, spacious clean and tidy. We were delighted! We arrived mid day on new years eve and were so pleased with how beautifully the flat was decorated, the sea views and how well it was kitted out. We needed nothing! We made full use of the games cupboard, the fast internet and the very comfortable sofas! The flat was very warm and cosy which was perfect as the December/January weather wasn't very kind to us.

Schöner Blick aufs Meer

Wir haben 10 Tage in der Wohnung verbracht. Es war alles sehr sauber. Vier Sterne für den Teppichboden, der überall liegt, und das für meine Tochter mit ihrer Allergie sehr schwierig war. Die Umgebung ist sehr hügelig, ins Zentrum und zum Hafen gehts bergab. Der Salzpfad geht in Ilfracombe vorbei mit wunderschönem Viewpoint etwas ausserhalb. Passend zum neuen Kinofilm haben wir eine schöne Streckenwanderung über die Klippen gemacht mit vielen sehr schönen Aussichten. Der weitläufige Sandstrand in Woolacombe ist sehr zu empfehlen! Via öffentlichem Bus in 30 min, Auto oder Fahrrad (E-bike). Leider sind die viel beworbenen Tunnel Beaches in Ilfracombe geschlossen. Leckeres Essen bietet die Tapas Bar im Ort, wer neben Fish & Chips etwas ausgewogeneres Essen möchte. Und klassische britische Scones mit Clotted cream gibts in der Hele Corn Mill mit schönem Aussengelände. Alles gut via Bike/ E-bike zu erreichen ;)

A lovely apartment a short walk down hill to the town but a long steep walk back! Very comfortable. Good WiFi but poor phone signal. We found the Key safe difficult to line numbers up and open and a hand rail on the steps from the carpark would have been helpful.

Great location and lovely apartment

We had a great stay here, it's a great location for exploring Ilfracombe. Lot's of stairs and hills, so they keep you fit! Stunning sea views from the main bedroom and lounge. Communication with the owners was brilliant and they were incredibly helpful. We would stay again!

Never found 2nd bathroom. Just 1 toilet roll of the cheapest quality. Could see the sea but not the habour. Wellcome pack of just small packet of biscuits very disappointing. Being charged the full cost 6 months in advance of stay was a major issue and owner did not respond on this matter.

Nice apartment shame about the lack of bathrooms

Your advert states 2 bathrooms but there is an en suite bathroom and an additional toilet. As we are two couples it was very inconvenient to share a bathroom which was in their bedroom. The apartment itself was clean and had everything we needed including wonderful views but we wouldn’t have booked it if you had listed it properly. It is an ideal property for one family or one couple , may I suggest you change your advert.

Lovely spacious, clean apartment with wonderful views. Did not use the car, everything is within walking distance. Ilfracombe a lovely place. Slight criticisms- only one half of a toilet roll for two bathrooms, grill pan had not been cleaned and the people in the flat above I can only assume were there for a clog dancing festival.

Stunning views

The property was clean and tidy with stunning views out to sea. It was located up a very steep hill with lots of steps to reach the door so definitely not for the feint hearted. The view was worth the effort.

Clean, spacious,well equipped. Found everything we needed. Close to the town centre and harbour

Concise instructions supplied made the apartment easy to find and enter. Beautiful views from living area and main bedroom. Spacious rooms with lovely decor made the place feel so cosy without being cramped. Found everything we needed and more. Although we had beautiful weather and didn’t need them there was plenty of dvds, games and books to keep you occupied if needed. Netflix was an added bonus particularly for the teenagers in the evenings ! The town and harbour are within easy reach both walking and by car. However if walking there is a steep walk back up to the apartment ! Plenty to do and the list of restaurants provided was very helpful.

Mooi en goed ingericht appartement - goed ge-outilleerd - praktisch en comfortabel - alles voorhanden wat je nodig had - goede keuken, fijne woonkamer, royale slaapkamers met zeer goede bedden - service en contact via de eigenaar heel erg goed > als er iets was kon het geregeld worden. Een aanrader voor korter of langer verblijf.

Perfect Property

A Five Day Break

We found Seagrass just what we wanted for a short break. All facilities were very good and ideal for our needs. The views from the front bedroom and lounge are exceptional. The walk into town is fine and coming back provides excellent exercise (on account of the steepness of the hill) but we got used to it. Of course if you drive it is no problem. The owners Dave and Claire were extremely helpful and provided comprehensive information and contact details. We hope to stay again as Ilfracombe is a good base for exploring North Devon. A beautiful, fully equipped, spotlessly clean property.

A really comfortable property fully equipped with all we needed. Wonderful views and really comfortable bed. Netflix was a bonus on rainy days! All communication with the property owners was excellent. Information in the property was very useful and up to date.

Lovely apartment, fantastic sea views!

The apartment is extremely welcoming, clean, nicely decorated and had everything we needed and more! The sea views from the lounge and bedroom were wonderful and we loved watching all the boats going by. We didn't have the best weather so having Netflix and WiFi was a bonus (especially for our teenage daughter). Its a 5min walk into the town and we were spoilt for choice when it came to good places to eat. Its a very steep walk back to the apartment but it helped to burn some calories off and got easier as the week went on.

Relaxing Family Holiday

Ashley and I stayed at Seagrass with our two teenage girls 17 &15. Our first impressions were the cleanliness and spaciousness of the apartment. The furnishings and accessories compliment it's location. Kitchen was well equipped , we wanted for nothing . It was truly a home from home. The beds were comfortable as was the sofa. Views absolutely stunning, watching the sunset over the sea was a real treat and wonderful to wake up to each morning. David and Clare communicated well with us and made the whole experience from booking to completion and absolute pleasure. We highly recommend and will most definitely return next year. Thanks so much xx

Very comfortable flat, superb views

We had a great week. The flat is spacious, comfortable, fully equipped (even including a subscription to Netflix, which was very much appreciated). The reserved parking spot is a big help. The views from the windows are beautiful, and always changing with the light and the weather. Ilfracombe is an interesting town to wander around in, and it's also a good base of operations for trips into Exmoor or down the coast. Highly recommended -- we would love to come back.

Definitely the best!

The view from the apartment took our breath away. Then we looked around. We had so much space and every facility we could possibly want. The furniture and furnishings were comfortable and really tasteful with a good eye for colour matching and sense of harmony. Parking space was good and accessible which is a real bonus in a seaside town where spaces are at a real premium. Short walk into town and the seafront and harbour areas. Choice of restaurants was the very best we have found in seaside towns. Plenty to do, listed in brochures in the apartment and the choice of days out with coastal walks and stunning views will be in our memories for a long time. Thanks to Claire and David, the owners who were pleasant and approachable.

Lovely, comfortable apartment with everything one could need

This is a very attractive, comfortable and spacious apartment with beautiful view of Capstone Hill and the sea. The sunsets were spectacular! The living area has a comfortable sofa and two easy chairs for relaxing. Cupboard contains lots of DVDs, CDs, books and toys and games for children. There is a fully equipped kitchen with lots of crockery and pans etc. Full oven, gas hob and microwave. The two bedrooms, one double, one twin, are spacious with plenty of space for clothes. Bathroom is also large and there is a separate WC with wash basin as well. As mentioned in information on apartment, there is a steep hill up to apartment but we managed it even though we are getting on a bit! We were certainly fitter by the end of our stay. If you don't want to drive there are local buses, Woolacombe is only about 15 minutes away. It was lovely to come back to Seagrass after being out all day, to relax and watch the sun go down.

A lovely, well equipped apartment, with the most amazing views.

The apartment itself was lovely, spotless on arrival, very spacious and extremely well equipped. The views were to die for and we sat every evening enjoying the sun sets and looking over to the South Wales coast with binoculars trying to pick out landmarks and watching passing ships. The final night even gave us an electrical storm over the sea, which was a sight to remember. The location was a challenge to our physical fitness, with steep inclines to tackle on our way back to the flat. We used it to burn off calories, however this would be a problem for the elderly and infirm unless they wanted to take the car each time they went into the town.

We are Kate and Neil and we love the wild landscapes and dramatic coastline of North Devon. Together, we look after Seagrass, a comfortable and well-appointed apartment with wonderful views over Ilfracombe and the sea.

Neil works in a famous sporting Museum and Kate works in Finance. We also look after our lovely daughter Elizabeth, who was born in February 2022.
