Das Mole End ist ein luxuriöses 5-Sterne-Ferienhaus zur Selbstverpflegung in Lancashire mit Fußbodenheizung und einem Aga-Herd. Ein großer offener Wohn- / Essbereich mit einer gut ausgestatteten Designerküche von Mark Wilkinson ermöglicht es Ihnen, sich gegenseitig zu unterhalten, während Sie Ihr Abendessen stilvoll zubereiten.
Das Cottage verfügt über einen großen Wohn- / Essbereich mit offenem Schnitt, eine gut ausgestattete Designer-Küche von Mark Wilkinson und einen Familien-Esstisch. Das Cottage ist auf sehr hohem Standard eingerichtet und mit italienischen Fliesenböden, wunderschönen Teppichen, Möbeln und Dekorationen ausgestattet - ein ideales Cottage für Familien und Freunde.

Es gibt auch eine separate Garderobe / Waschküche mit Waschbecken, Toilette, Waschmaschine und Trockner. Sky-TV ist vorhanden.

SCHLAFZIMMER und BADEZIMMER

Es gibt drei geräumige Schlafzimmer, zwei im Erdgeschoss und eines im ersten Stock.

Das Schlafzimmer im ersten Erdgeschoss ist ein Doppelzimmer mit einem eigenen Bad und einer Dusche mit einem großen Waschbecken, das für Rollstuhlfahrer zugänglich ist, und einem großen beleuchteten Spiegel. Der Duschbereich im Nassraum verfügt über Sitzgelegenheiten und einen umklappbaren Haltegriff für behinderte Gäste sowie stilvolle Haltegriffe, die strategisch günstig um Toilette und Bad angeordnet sind. Das zweite ist ein Familienzimmer mit einem Doppelbett und einem Einzelbett sowie einem großen Bad mit einem Duschbereich im Nassbereich.

Eine Treppe vom Wohnbereich führt zu einem zusätzlichen Schlafzimmer mit zwei Einzelbetten im ersten Stock, das hell und geräumig ist. Es gibt auch ein Badezimmer mit Badewanne, Waschbecken und Toilette.

Der Außenbereich bietet einen privaten Garten mit Gartenmöbeln und Blick auf die Wälder.

Perfect long weekend

Had Mole End and Woodpecker booked for a long weekend with friends. Gorgeous location with some amazing sunsets luckily! Mole end was really clean and surprisingly spacious given it only sleeps six and it was really useful having the two cottages next two each other - we were mainly based in woodpecker but it helped to come and go. Would definitely stay again!

Amazing properties in beautiful surroundings

We have just returned from our third stay at Barnacre cottages, and always love staying here. The accommodation is excellent and always very clean, and there’s plenty of green space for the kids to play. We always enjoy relaxing by the fire pit area in the evenings, and the location in the Lancashire countryside is perfect.

What A Weekend

7 of us stayed in mole end for my hen weekend. We had an amazing time, we did get a little lost trying to find the place so be careful when driving but once we got there my my my, it was beautiful, the cottage was well supplied, clean, warm and was extremely accessible for myself as a full time wheelchair user.

A delightful and well appointed cottage for our family celebration. Highly recommended.

We booked Mole End and Woodpecker cottages for a family get together and birthday celebration over the early May Bank Holiday. Everyone had a fantastic time! The cottages were delightful and extremely well appointed. The children loved the play area, tennis court and visiting the horse and chickens. We used the Pepperpot Catering Company, as recommended by the owners, for our celebration meal and they were amazing with delicious food and excellent service. We also catered for ourselves and found the facilities really easy to use and everything we needed was available. Mole End gave us a great extra kitchen to prepare desserts in. It also provided extra space to allow the young family and grandmother to relax and do their own thing when they wanted to. The information about the area was really helpful. Some of us walked to Scorton while others drove and we met at the Barn cafe. Some of us also drove to Beacon Hill Country Park for amazing views across to Blackpool Tower and the Lakes. The whole family (16 of us) agreed that it had been a memorable and delightful weekend and no-one wanted it to end. The information provided before arrival was really comprehensive and Beth kindly showed us around both cottages after booking to get our bearings and plan bedrooms. All in all a highly recommended venue and location.

Fantastic Family Break

From start to finish our stay at Mole End, Barnacre Cottages was simply wonderful. With an 18 month old and 4 month old it was our first holiday away as a family and to begin with I was apprehensive. But our every need was met and more, the cottage was a perfect fit for our family with lots of space for playing and easy cleaning, children beds and plates/cutlery provided. It was like home from home. I could not recommend them highly enough and will definitely be making a return visit.

A great cottage and properly accessible

We chose this cottage primarily because it is accessible. Two of the three of us who stayed there are disabled. We were very pleased with the design, fixtures and fittings. The cottage itself is ideal and the location is excellent. The settees were a bit too low for people with limited mobility, but it isn't a major issue. Another minor matter is the track up to the cottage which could do with some evening out and repair. On the other hand, everything else was great including the beds and the bathrooms. Would we go there again? Yes and without any hesitation

Family birthday celebrations

We're just back from another fabulous stay at Barnacre Cottages. We stay in a Mole End Cottage. It's a great spacious cottage and perfectly equipped for someone with accessibility needs. Ground floor bedrooms, wet room and lots of well placed rails and bars to support mobility. The cottage are very well equipped with lots of kitchen utensils, crockery etc, no need to bring anything. The family team at the cottage are always available to address your needs and resolve any issues, although we didn't have any at all. I must also recommend the view. You can see all the way to Blackpool on a clear day and the tower looks fabulous at night. We'll be back again and is highly recommend to anyone, especially if you have accessibility needs.

A wonderful sanctuary !

We had to find somewhere to stay to tick so many boxes…… so accommodating very new twins, just a few months old, with the double buggy that needs extra wide doors and ramps rather than flights of steps. Downstairs bedrooms for easy access. Plus x3 couples and x6 dogs, x4 that slept outside. An enclosed garden. All required prior to a family wedding that ran over 5 days. AND heavens you were so kind and everything was so easy to manage. The kitchen (indeed everything) was spotless with a great standard of equipment plus Miele washing machine in the utility !!! THANK YOU for being so kind and tolerant of pre wedding madness and giving us a place of peace at the end of each and every day. We will visit again but just us as an elderly quiet couple ( with no add ons! ) ……. With love Jane

Family celebration

I booked 4 of the 5 cottages at Barnacre for my family. Mole End was perfect for a member of our family with a disability. Comfortable, beautiful views in a quiet location. It has a really special feel to it, everything from the fitted kitchen, the beautiful warm Aga, to the comfortable sofas was absolutely perfect. Cleanliness and decor of the highest quality. I have stayed in many places and very few match the quality of Mole End. Host Beth couldn’t be more helpful or quick to respond to my questions. Just perfect!

What an amazing place, it came highly recommended and certainly didn't disappoint. Plenty of places for the children to run around - the tennis court even got a look in. So many books - bedtime stories were easy and the war books kept the fellahs entertained! Never cooked on an Aga before but it was easy enough and would imagine in winter it will keep the lounge cosy and warm too! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend-thank you!

Lovely Break

We booked for a couple of nights and it was brilliant. Advice and flexibility on arrival and departure was great given there had been a change in my family situation ahead of the trip. The disability friendly facilitie were great and the views of the coastline were very soothing from the front of the cottage. Kids loved it and fire pits were throughly enjoyed. It’s probably the best domestic short cottage break we have been on in the last 10 years. We “warmed” to the amazing AGA oven too once we knew how to work it! It really did feel like a home from home. Would recommend as location allowed us to trek into Lancaster and enjoy this lively city and it’s history. Very convenient located to travel to different parts of the county within 30/45 mins drive. If there is a next time - would probably want to stay a week

Lovely relaxing break

Mole End is spacious, comfortable and clean. It has everything you need for a relaxing break and is very well resourced with kitchen essentials. The layout was perfect for my elderly parents as they did not have to climb any stairs and the wet room shower was very welcomed too. An added bonus was a visit from the owner on our second evening- armed with a delicious home baked cake! The cottage is an excellent base for exploring the local area; we enjoyed lots of lovely walks with the dog - visits to Scorton and The Apple Store are a must for refreshments!

We love being here

We have been lucky, we have stayed in Mole End twice a year, for the last few years. Nothing is too much trouble to the family that own the property. One room has a beautiful bathroom with grab bars everywhere necessary for an elderly or disabled person. The cottage sleeps 7 but the 2 of us just use the ground floor.and a wheelchair can move around very easily.We love it.

Amazing and accessible retreat

We had an amazing stay at Barnacre Cottages. We needed an accessible cottage and got just that. Mole End has been adapted downstairs with 2 wet rooms, accessible throughout and very well equipped. Terry kindly brought the tramper for us, how've we found ourselves too busy to get out on it. The cottage was clean, well equipped, spacious with super views as far as Blackpool. On arrival, there was a delicious, home made Victoria sponge cake which made for a welcome treat. We would highly recommend and look forward to returning soon. Thank you Sue, Terry and family

Family get together

Our family were coming together after a long hard time with covid. The cottage was ideal and well situated for all to get to we were also able to take the dog. This area was great for both country walks and walks by the sea. The location was great. The cottage had everything you could wish for including an aga. I definitely would come again when meeting up with all the family

Wonderful peaceful location with friendly and welcoming hosts.

We really enjoyed staying at Barnacre Cottages - situated in beautiful countryside with views out to sea. Mole End was perfect for our stay and the hosts were friendly and welcoming. The Victoria sponge and welcome basket we were given were a real treat - fabulous sponge! We loved the open space outside the cottage, the amazing view and enjoyed sitting around the fire pit in the evening. Definitely will consider another visit at some point. Thank you

We’ve just returned from a fantastic break at Barnacre cottages. The cottages are spacious, very clean and to a high spec, and there was so much great outdoor space for the children to play safely. With beautiful surrounding countryside, we couldn’t ask for more. Looking forward to returning again
