We had a lovely stay - Port Royal is a quaint, historic town that has become a low country destination in recent years. If you are a Marine recruit family, be cautious about booking this home. My son suffered a leg injury with three weeks left to graduate and the property management was non negotiable on even a partial refund. We opted to come down and thankfully the Corps permitted us to visit with my son. One recommendation for the homeowner would be to get a propane grill for guests. Charcoal was too ol’ school for us, unfortunately.

It was a great place to stay. It’s minutes, and I mean minutes from the USMC Depot. The house is beautiful and conveniently located. Anything you need is near by. It is a quick walk to Fish Camp on 11th. A great restaurant. If you have a recruit that will be a Marine there is no better place to stayThank you

Weekend in Port Royal

We loved the location of the house and the spacious living area and bedrooms. Would have loved to have used the double porches, but it was a bit too hot this weekend. Air conditioning upstairs couldn’t quite keep up with the high temps but it was still comfortable downstairs Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Parris Island Graduation

The spot was exactly what we needed as we celebrated our grandson's Marine graduation at Parris Island! It was about 10 minutes from Parris Island, so we were able to get there with no problem for those early mornings during the graduation week. Everything was clean and we had all that we needed to accommodate our group of six family members. The two beds in one room were what sealed the deal for us to choose this property as we had one child with us.

Great Visit

We were in town for our son's USMC graduation and this was the PERFECT location! The house was exactly what we needed - I was easily able to cook a meal for family day and we had everything else we needed to make a pleasant stay. It is close enough to Parris Island that it's just a 5-10 minute trip back, so my husband was able to drop off our Marine's bags and bring back some of his requested items during family day. The neighborhood is adorable and I would love the opportunity to visit when we are less scheduled to enjoy the town.

Perfect Get Away in Port Royal

My family traveled to Port Royal for my grandson's Marine Boot Camp Graduation from Parris Island, SC. in July, 2024. I was a bit skeptical of using a VRBO because I have never used this type of lodging. We were all just delighted with the house, the location (minutes away from the base and that was very convenient on those early morning arrivals), the neighborhood and the quaint little town of Port Royal, and I could go one and on. The house was impeccably clean and decorated with coastal decor. We loved it and if we go to Port Royal again, we will definitely opt to rent at 1016 10th Street. Thank you for a beautiful stay.

perfect house, location

This house is well equipped and in a great location. It provides the comfort of home and still delivers the excitement of vacation. The upstairs balcony porch is awesome. Port Royal seems to just keep getting better and better with new restaurants and activities. I temporarily lost the house keys (found them when the tide washed out!) and the property managers were very, very helpful. We fully recommend this house to anyone looking for a great trip away.

Cozy Home Away from Home for Marine's Graduation

We were pleased to find this wonderful property for our trip to attend our Son's Marines Family Day and Graduation. The property was perfect for our family and lived up to the reviews. Amenities available were so well-thought out. We only needed to bring ourselves, luggage and shop for groceries. Thank you! We will definitely plan on visiting again.

Wonderful Gem-all the amenities

Thank you for allowing us to stay in your house while here for our son’s graduation at MRCD Parris Island. We’ve stayed at plenty VRBO’s. The photos do not do the home justice. Plenty of everything in this house. Fully stocked kitchen from dishes to spices, comfortable beds with plenty of room to stretch. Great internet connection, wonderful games, and lovely porches we enjoyed continuously! We were here during a full moon, and the view from upstairs porch has an early morning reflection onto the waters as if it was pulled from a Pat Conroy book. Neat, clean, perfect! I told my husband we should invest in this place once we retire. That’s a big compliment coming from us. Thanks again.

The house was very nice with nice decor and comfortable furnishings. We loved the upper and lower porches. Lots to do within walking distance or for a short drive. I would love to come back and stay again!!
