Great return visit

Second time staying here and the apartment did not disappoint. It was very clean and tidy with all the comforts of home. The weather certainly helped as it was dry throughout our stay, so lots of walks and exploring the area. It' was the perfect base for us and there are many eateries close by to make sure we did not go hungry . Will certainly look to return again in the future.

Stunning

A stunning 3 bed aprtment literally on tge beach. High end facilities, high tech, ultra modern. A couple of flights of stairs to negotiate to get to the penthouse. Private secure parking. Torcross is quiet, beautiful and perfect for a getaway. Highly recommend this property

Lovely apartment in a great location

A lovely apartment full of modcons, in a brilliant location. Parking was easy, access was fine for us but can do the stairs without issues - but perhaps not for those who are less mobile. Upstairs rooms were spacious and shower room was good. Downstairs kitchen / lounge was spacious and comfortable. Utility room and extra bathroom was helpful. Beautiful view out of the window (though agreed with other reviewers that some more regular cleaning of the windows would be nice in the summer - it did rain when we were there and unfortunately not self cleaning as described), and lots of lovely walks from the property.

Perfect in every way

Regular communication from the property manager in the lead up to our stay. Travel and property entry details were clear and helpful. The property itself was spotlessly clean; spacious and light; with a well equipped kitchen with all your homely facilities; had convenient dedicated parking; and perfectly located for access to the beautiful areas around South Hams, and of course Torcross with its 3 mile beach and picturesque surroundings.

Superb apartment in an idyllic spot

Had a great time here with the family. Booking was simple and easy, the communication before the stay was the best I have experienced. Plenty of detailed information on the place and locality. On arrival there were biscuits and beer left for us which was a lovely touch. Parking was easy and just a 30 second walk away. The apartment itself was very well stocked, everything we needed was available. From coffee machines to wine fridge. Fans in all rooms (much needed), high quality fixtures and fittings all with easily accessible instruction booklets. We had a fabulous week.

Peace and Quiet

We have been regular visitors to 'On the beach' for over ten years and love it. Weather was spectacularly rough this time so spent a little bit more time inside than normal. Lovely apartment with everything you need but the sofa in this one does need changing. I have got old and it's just uncomfortably low!:=). Our thanks as always.. The Baldwin.

Nice apartment, nice location.

Lovely apartment, all the facilities you will need plus more! Very comfortable, overall we enjoyed our stay, A couple of negative points - Access is unusual, a lot of stairs using the front door from the entrance or a fairly steep hill and then stairs from the car park to the door. The water heater for the central heating is located in a cupboard in the master bedroom, for a light sleeper, like myself, the constant noise was a problem probably worse at this time of the year. It was a very cold few days! I have to point out that these negatives didn't spoil our stay!

Generally very pleased but a couple of maintenance concerns

We found the accommodation very comfortable .However the hot water kettle tap was broken throughout the majority of the stay.The jacuzzi on the master bedroom emitted Green slime on first use , so unable to use it.The impression we had was that the outside sitting space was exclusive, however it was communal.Having said all of that it was compensated by a very responsive support team .

We did offer to come round and have a look at the jacuzzi bath however I believe you didn't want us to, this has now been fully serviced and we do apologise you encountered this problem. The hot water tap is not able to be fixed as of now so we do supply a kettle in the property and as for outside on our website we do state it is communal sorry if this was missed. Wir hatten eine traumhafte Woche in dieser modernen und sauberen Wohnung. Die Küche ist mit Allem ausgestattet, was man benötigt und hat noch einige Extras zu bieten. Die Zugangsinformationen zur Wohnung und zum Parkplatz waren sehr ausführlich und gut verständlich. Bei unserer Ankunft stand ein Körbchen mit Leckereien als Begrüßung auf dem Tisch. Vielen Dank noch mal dafür. Alles in Allem ein wunderschöne Wohnung mit einer tollen Aussicht. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Sehr schöne Wohnung an einem traumhaften Ort

Wir haben eine sehr schöne Woche mit sechs Personen in Torcross verbracht. Es ist fantastisch, den Strand direkt vor der Tür zu haben, den Pub nur wenige Meter weiter und tolle Wandermöglichkeiten in der Nähe. Die Küstenwege sind herrlich und oftmals sind auch Seehunde zu sehen. Die Wohnung würden wir jederzeit wieder nehmen, jedoch muss man wissen, dass der Weg zur Wohnung für Personen mit handicap oder zum Entladen und Beladen etwas beschwerlich ist, da es mehrere Treppen rauf und runter bis zur Wohnung sind. Der Ausblick ist toll, der nahegelegene Parkplatz eine gute Sache. In der Wohnung kann man sich richtig wohlfühlen. Die Aufteilung ist gut, die Geräte sind sehr modern, die Sitzgelegenheiten und die Betten gemütlich und die Ausstattung mehr als ausreichend. Es gibt genug Informationsmaterial zu den Geräten. Der Kontakt war nett und es war alles sehr unproblematisch. Wir können diese Wohnung sehr empfehlen und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Manuel aus Duisburg (Deutschland)

Family holiday

This is a beautifully decorated mordern property with keen eye for detail including a baby gate and baby chair. The property managers were very responsive to my texts. Beach and little restaurants are a stones throw away. The village has shops and Spar and on the other side the black Sands beach is very accessible. Beautiful views from the house. One thing to note is for those who have difficulty climbing stairs, and carrying luggage up the stairs there are 2 flights of stairs and bit of walking in the building to reach the Penthouse when entered from the main door or if you choose to enter from rear entrance you will have steep slope and flight of stairs. The designated free parking was convenient. Over all we had a pleasant, stress free enjoyable stay.

Lovely apartment in great location

The apartment was lovely..lots of space and games to entertain the children. The location is excellent not only for the beach immediately in front but also for getting to lots of great places in South Devon. A great base for visiting the area. Unfortunately a previous occupant appeared to have broken the washing machine and not reported it so it wasn’t useable. However the managing company reacted quickly and it will be fixed for future occupants. The only other request is a manual for the coffee machine and the hob. Having been directed to the magnet to operate the hob we still couldn’t figure it out! Overall an excellent stay, thank you.

Really nice property, perfect for our family group, including a 1yr old grandson. Close to beach and Duckery, perfect for early morning walks. The South Hams is a fabulous area for walking, beaches and picturesque towns.

Best apartment

If you can cope with all the steps this is a great apartment and the views are wonderful of sea and countryside. Everything you need is there. It's right next to the pebble beach (quite a steep slope into the sea) and there are lots of other lovely beaches and places to visit nearby (don't expect to get anywhere quickly, though, as the country lanes are narrow).

How to get over Christmas

An excellent situation for exploring wonderful countryside and for looking out on it when it rained. As six adults and one 9 mth old we found the apartment very well equipped and especially appreciated the large and open plan kitchen/lounge and its excellent views of the sea and fresh water lake. The two upstairs bedrooms have the disadvantage of being in the roof, leading to the necessity to duck to avoid hitting ones head and the number of steps leading to the apartment might not suit everyone, but we found these minor issues and would certainly consider returning.
