Simone was it the gate or the front door that was troublesome? Please advise and we can get this sorted. Unfortunately ants are always an issue in hot weather and we try ro keep them to a minimum. The kitchen cupboard had been damaged by a prior guest and our maintenance team took longer than usual to respond to the repair request as it was in the high season. Regards R & M Cook

We are sorry the last couple of days were spoilt as the pool pumps had broken and the technicians could not repair them quickly. I am also sorry to hear your daughter suffered a skin infection - I hope she has recovered from this and the compensation we offered covered any medication that she may have required. Regards

Ines, once we had received your communication in respect of ants we quickly responded and the cleaners attended the house within a few hours cleaning and treating the house for ants and changing the bed linen and laundry. The cleaners attended again two days later to check and found no more evidence of ants. As we did not have any further report of ants from you we would assume the problem was resolved. The house is set up to accommodate 4 people and there is more than enough crockery and cutlery to service this requirement. Perhaps additional visitors to the house would have put a strain on resources but we do not cater for this event. If the you felt the dishwasher was not loaded enough then perhaps you could have set to half load or eco setting or just washed a few plates by hand in the sink. Leaving food out in any warm climate will attract ants in minutes and leaving plates and dishes in the dishwasher overnight would again attract ants. The Algarve in summer is a very warm climate and ants are a very common occurrence.

João, sorry you were troubled with ants but this is unavoidable in hot climates. We only advertise that the TV can receive local channels, however there is the option to attach an HDMI and log on to your own account via the wi-fi. We have ordered a new dishwasher for replacement at the end of this season. Thank you R & M Cook
