Rob met us at the door which was lovely. The property was perfect for a weekend away with my sister. Cosy and spotlessly clean. The welcome pack was a nice touch. The weather was also perfect which made the weekend special. Would highly recommend.

We spent a very comfortable week here.

We spent a very comfortable week here. The cottage was very well set up in many ways, with very comfortable beds and lovely decor. The location lovely, overlooking Ravenscar Cliffs, only a short walk to the N.T. centre and stunning views over Robin Hood's Bay. It is great for serious walkers, but a little remote from facilities for us. The heating was a little sporadic and we had to ask the owners a couple evenings to check as we were cold, which they sorted. Our main disappointment was that there wasn't a washing machine, although in the 'Facilities' section it said there was one, although not mentioned in the kitchen details. Apparently the owner, according to an online review, would do washing, but nothing was said and I wouldn't be comfortable with that. Fortunately, the cottage we are in this week has one, so I could catch up on the backlog. I think this should be addressed in the 'Facilities' section to save disappointment.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay at The Yorkshireman.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay at The Yorkshireman. On arrival, we found the accommodation spotlessly clean and exactly as advertised. The owners had left a very generous selection of food and drink for us, which was very welcoming. The living room was comfortable and the wi-fi and sky TV were good. It was very quiet at night and the beds were comfortable so we all slept well. The owners live next door and were helpful and friendly but not intrusive. The location is ideal for exploring the Yorkshire coast. We walked along the coastal path to Robin Hood's Bay, and Whitby, Scarborough, and Filey are a short drive away. What a fantastic gem.

What a fantastic gem. Loved every minute of my stay, and already planning my return. Even though the weather was inhospitable, having The Yorkshire man to return to each afternoon was wonderful. Practical but cosy. Being away from everything was what the Dr had ordered. Thank you to must go the owner for being lovely, helpful and informative. An amazing week, can't wait my return.

A lovely cottage in a lovely quiet location.

A lovely cottage in a lovely quiet location. The owners were very friendly and gave us the biggest welcome pack that we have ever had in all our time renting holiday homes. It was very clean and freshly decorated. Ideal situation for walking on the Cleveland Way which has stunning views. The local hotel is in easy walking distance and was nice for a meal and a drink but apart from that no other amenities. You have to drive to Whitby for your groceries. It has a brilliant shower but we were a little disappointed in the double bed, although very comfortable, a kind sized would have made an extra special touch. The WiFi was excellent but absolutely no mobile phone signal. We would definitely return here.
