Please, let me reply to this message as it is the first negative feedback that we’ve received till then and for 10 years of rentals. Clients arrived at 2:30pm while it is well written 4pm but we permitted them to let their luggage in the house. They didn’t want to give us the deposit for the house and the cleaning. The studio is next to the house but there is ABSOLUTELY NOT communications between the studio and the house: no passage is possible. This is well noted in the announcement and client feedbacks. Regarding to the shabby neighbourhood, it seems weird THE NEIGHBOURHOOD IS CALM AND COMPOSED OF QUITE EXPENSIVE PROPERTIES . The only overlook on neighbour gardens is a window in a bedroom and neighbours work all day. The fridge is a standard fridge as we have in France and it serves us the whole year for 6 to 10 people. There are 4 beds in the house: 2 are 140cm and 2 are 160cm. The bedspreads are not made with springs so beds cannot creak. The tableware is composed of 24 plates, 12 forks, 12 spoons, 12 tea spoons, 12 knives, a big frying pan, a saucepan, a pressure cooker and all the home appliance needed to cook. We were away while client stay, only our daughter was living in the studio and she was working all day. Her English is not fluent but she understands and she is able to talk. She was there at client arrival to help clients to communicate with us. Even if our English wasn’t as good as client willingness, we thought that client french speaking would have been understandable since 15 years of holidays spent in Montauroux. Nevertheless, we have always been able to speak and be understandable by all foreign clients, English speaking or not, who rented our house. It is important to underline that our daughter was in the studio when the thunderstorm caused a power failure and the gate could not be opened meaning that clients could have been stuck behind the gate. We apologise for the entry keys of the house but since we rent we always give the key for the kitchen door and mostly because the entry of the house is in the same side as the entry of the studio. And we do not want to disturb! Clients did not respect the use of air conditioner. My husband had to tell them to close the doors while using it (36 degrees outside). We had a bad surprise after client departure because one of our deck chair had been broken, “repaired” by metallic pieces but felt down afterwards. We offered cleaning charge to make client happy but it seems that it did nothing good. It is our first experience like that, all our client feedbacks prove it.
