Simply put, this place certainly has the wow factor. On arrival through the small village perched on the hills overlooking Ponte Tresa, the apartment is rather unassuming despite the fact one enters through impressive wrought iron gates and it is the ground floor part of a magnificent larger property. On entering the apartment, there is a well appointed kitchen with breakfast bar as well as spare room with elevated double bed (and its own bathroom), which the children loved as it was accessed via a small staircase. Then comes the highlight of this place - the combined living room/master bedroom with full glass surround to the most stunning view of the town, lake, surrounding hills and mountains. It is a view that we could never tire of as we ate breakfast every morning on the terrace. We almost didn't want to leave most days as we could have just sat there soaking in the panorama. The master bathroom is capacious with a shower that has more jets than you could possibly want! If you really wanted to luxuriate, then the hot tub was perfectly placed to enjoy the views some more. I did mean to use the fitness room during the week, but failed miserably as we were out every day enjoying the area of Lugano, Lago Maggiore, Varese and Monte Tamaro. Maurizio the owner was fantastic, giving us all the detail we needed on the property and the surrounding area. We took him up on all his suggestions for trips and we were not disappointed. I hope to return to this property in the near future and have no qualms about recommending this place to anyone.
