Pahoa: Landhäuser

We were using this place as a base, from which we explored the eastern half of Big Island. For us as a family of 4, it was a great place, which provided an individual room for both of our kids. We also really enjoyed the provided snorkelling gear and beach equipment. Communication with the hosts was very good. Our only minor point of concern during our stay was that the washing machine had broken down prior to our arrival and wasn't available to us, but we managed without.

Das Haus ist sehr grosszügig, sehr sauber und hat alles, damit man sich wohlfühlen kann. Die Lage ist optimal, um viele Hotspots von Big Island erkunden zu können. Die verschiedenen Unterhaltungsmöglichkeiten, wie Billiard, Fahrräder oder Basketball konnten wir auch immer wieder nutzen. Ein rundum toller Aufenthalt im Haus von Howard. Vielen Dank!

Wer eine ruhige, schöne Unterkunft mit tollen Gastgebern sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Auf einem tollen Grundstück gelegen, ist es nur durch eine sehr wenig befahrene Küstennebenstraße vom Meer getrennt. Zur steinigen Küste mit vielen Schildkröten und spektakulären Wellen sind es nur wenige Schritte. Lava-Ponds (einer davon etwas versteckt zugänglich direkt rechts vom Haus) zum Planschen oder entspannen im Meerwasser ebenso direkt in der Nähe. Nächste Strände 5 Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt und einfach unglaublich schön! Heiße Quellen direkt dabei! Zum Einkaufen fährt man nach Pahoa und bekommt dort alles. Von Pahoa kommt man auf der Insel dann auch einfach überall hin (Vulkane, Wasserfälle, Strände, Buchten etc.). Internet gibt es im Haus nicht, aber ca. 1,2 KM entfernt auf der Straße nach Pahoa (mobile Daten). In Pahoa gibt es mobile Daten und teilweise auch Wifi. Dass es im Haus selbst kein Internet gibt, ist an sich schon eine Erfahrung und man kann hier ganz klar von digital detoxing sprechen. Wir (3 Erwachsene) empfehlen die Unterkunft absolut uneingeschränkt weiter und hoffen, wieder einmal hier sein zu können. Mahalo for this wonderful and peaceful retreat place!

We loved the personal touch of this place. We had a warm welcome from John who showed us around on our arrival. We had everything we need and more. The bed is very comfortable! You can enjoy the sunrise from there but even better while having breakfast at the little table with the doors wide open. After a busy day you can enjoy a drink in the hot tub under the moon.

We had a wonderful stay at Mary Rose's Place. Everithing was as expected. Mary has repeatedly contacted us to give us information. She has made a great effort that we have a good time. Thanks for the nice time!
