Sorrent: Bauernhöfe

Thanks for the great stay. The view is breathtaking, a big private garden with a lemon blossom smell and different singing birds, due to the green area in the neighborhood. Not beside the main street, so it was quite calm, especially at night. A bus stop is directly below this private house park. Parking is easily approachable for Amalfi-coast conditions and generously sized even for an Octavia Combi and it is as close as possible to the apartment. And yes there is an inclination up the hill and yes there are at least stairs to be taken to reach the house (approx.like 3rd floor) Great views are usually from above. Don't go there nor to the Amalfi coast or Naples if you cannot handle hills, mountains or lots of stairs. But these here are well built and nothing adventurous. At check-in the contact person insists to help with the luggage.English is enough. It seems that neighbors rent to international guests too. It has all main features, I could have missed during the trip.

Diese hübsche Wohnung im 2. Stock (mit Aufzug) ist geräumig und einladend freundlich, mit allem Nötigen ausgestattet und tadellos sauber. Das Highlight ist der geräumige Über-Eck-Balkon mit einem spektakulären Ausblick über den Golf von Neapel und auf den Vesuv und bis 17 Uhr schön schattig. Die Lage ist perfekt: Acht Minuten zu Fuß sind es zum Bahnhof, wo die Züge/Busse nach Pompeji und Neapel sowie an die Amalfi-Küste abfahren, 15 zum kleinen Fährhafen mit Verbindungen nach Capri und Neapel, und 12 zum Piazza Tasso, dem Tor zur kleinen, aber feinen Altstadt. Einziger Nachteil, über den man jedoch mit ein bisschen Gelassenheit gut hinwegsehen kann: Obwohl die Hauptstraße (Corso Italia) weit genug entfernt ist, kann es auf dem Balkon tagsüber hin und wieder ein bisschen lauter werden, weil auch die direkt darunter verlaufende Via Bernardino Rota gerne von Bussen und den allgegenwärtigen Vespas genutzt wird (am Abend ebbt der Verkehr spür- und hörbar ab). Elena kümmert sich großartig um ihre Gäste, die sie schon vor der Ankunft mit sehr guten und nützlichen Tipps versorgt (zum Beispiel den, für einen Transfer von und nach Neapel Airport/Bahnhof den zuverlässigen, sicheren und äußerst bequemen Shuttle-Service von Nunzio Cesarano zu wählen). Ihr super-freundliches und humorvolles Temperament ist ansteckend, und schon nach zwei Minuten hat man das Gefühl hat, sie wäre eine alte Bekannte. Die Kommunikation mit ihr ist schnell, unaufgeregt und unkompliziert und in der Sache stets korrekt. Wir werden wiederkommen! ---------------------------------------- This lovely apartment on the 2nd floor (with elevator) is spacious and welcoming friendly and spotlessly clean. The highlight is the spacious balcony with a spectacular view at Mount Vesuvius and pleasant shade until 5 pm. The location is perfect: 8 minutes walk from the train station, where trains/buses leave for Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast, 15 minutes to the small ferry port with connections to Capri and Naples, and 12 minutes to Piazza Tasso, the gateway to the old town. The only drawback: It can get a bit noisy during the day, because the street directly underneath is often used by buses and the omnipresent Vespas (in the evening the traffic abates). Elena takes great care of her guests, providing them with very useful tips. Her super-friendly and humorous temperament is contagious. Communication with her is fast, unexcitedly and uncomplicated and always correct in the matter. We’ll be back!!

Lage etwas oberhalb von Sorrento. Sorrento ist aber fußläufig problemlos zu erreichen. (Auch die ca. 250 m auf einer recht stark befahrenen Straße sind kein wirkliches Problem). Sehr schöner Garten, den man abends gerne nutzt. Ruhig. Sehr aufmerksamer und zuvorkommender Gastgeber. Er ist für alle Fragen rund um den Aufenthalt in und um Sorrento eine große Hilfe. Ganz toll ist, dass der Gastgeber bei An- und Abreise die Gäste auf Wunsch vom Bahnhof abholt bzw. zum Bahnhof bringt. Einziges Manko: Sollte man viel(!) selber kochen wollen, würde die Ausstattung der Küche etwas knapp. Unterkunft können wir bedenkenlos weiter empfehlen.
