Summary:
Just a five-minute walk from Oneroa Village and one of Waiheke’s most loved beaches, The Hideaway is a private, modern cottage designed for relaxed, easy island living. With multiple living areas, generous outdoor space, and everything you need within walking distance, this is the kind of place where holidays feel effortless from the moment you arrive.
The Space:
The Hideaway is bright, spacious, and thoughtfully set up for both short escapes and longer stays. Large windows and wide doors keep the home filled with natural light, flowing out to an expansive deck overlooking the gardens, lawn, and spa pool. This is the social heart of the property, ideal for slow breakfasts, afternoon lounging, and easy evening dinners straight from the BBQ.
Inside, the open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area is warm and welcoming. The kitchen is well-equipped and designed for simple cooking or shared meals at home. Two living spaces give families and groups flexibility: one for quiet reading or movie nights, and one for gathering together.
The master suite has a walk-in wardrobe, ensuite, and doors that open to the garden. The second bedroom offers a queen bed and its own TV, and the third bedroom includes a single bunk set plus a separate single bed — a practical set-up for children or extra guests. A second bathroom includes a shower and toilet.
Whether you’re relaxing on the deck, settling into one of the lounges, or wandering down to the village for coffee, The Hideaway offers the comfort of a private retreat with the convenience of a central Oneroa location.

The Neighborhood:
The Hideaway sits just moments from Oneroa, Waiheke’s main village. Stroll to cafés for breakfast, browse boutique shops, or pick up supplies from the Four Square. Oneroa Beach is close by for swimming, picnics, and long walks along the shoreline.
For dining and wine tasting, you’re within easy reach of vineyards and restaurants such as Mudbrick, Cable Bay, and Fenice, along with local favourites like Wai Kitchen and Akito for coffee. The Heke Brewery is also a short drive away for casual drinks, great food, and a lively atmosphere.
With beaches, walking tracks, galleries, and the Saturday morning market all nearby, this location makes it easy to enjoy the best of the island without needing the car.
Getting Around:
Buses run from Oneroa through to Onetangi, stopping close to major wineries including The Heke, Te Motu, Stonyridge, and Tantalus, before continuing into Oneroa Village and on to the Matiatia passenger ferry.
