Nice beach view from back deck

Our two-night stay was comfortable and the air conditioner was awesome! It's a quick easy 5 minute walk to the beach, and beach view from the deck was really nice. The house location provides quick access to dining, the Seawall, sight seeing and Galveston activities.

We also saw you had some feedback, and after checking in with the homeowner, they wanted to share the following: - There are detailed instructions provided for Wi-Fi, and the TV is a standard setup that many guests find easy to use. - The kitchen is stocked with a wide variety of dishware and cookware to support most guests’ needs. - We’ve double-checked the bathrooms and confirmed each one has a trash can; we’ll be sure to replace any that go missing between stays. - Oven mitts aren't currently part of the standard kitchen inventory, but your suggestion has been noted for future consideration. This rental was super clean, spacious and well kept. Home had all the kitchen, bath and bedroom necessitates. Just steps from the beach, large porch to lounge on and plenty of parking space. Will stay again!

Galveston stay

Pros: the house is close to the beach, the house has nice beach views, the bedrooms were comfortable, the kitchen had plenty of plates/silverware/cups. Cons: the oven/stove does not work, the tv did not work, the 2nd bathroom is located in the garage which isn’t listed on the property details, there is no dishwasher and some plates were not clean when we tried to use them.

Toilet upstairs was leaking and they had a kitchen frying pan there to collect water. The downstairs bathroom was filled with mold on the ceiling and wall, probably due to upstairs toilet. While there were plenty of platters and dishes, there was no pans that had lids which ruined our dinner plans.

Fun family getaway!

It was a perfect place to stay for a fun family getaway! It was exactly what we were looking for- Very close to the beach, not too many stairs, nice house, decently priced. FYI there is no dishwasher, no cable to watch the tv (or at least we couldn’t figure it out), and the 2nd bathroom is located on the ground floor with the garage and not attached to the house. That being said.. would definitely stay there again! Great for small families. Good for little kids. The floors appeared clean when we arrived but my baby kept getting black knees and feet crawling around.

Great Location bad garbage timing

The garbage brought Mice& flies in house, rattlesnakes in garage from dead something? It was very stressful dealing with it all for 4 days.

It was a ruff first day for us. The lock box was broke so keys were hidden on the front deck. The blind was broke and hanging sideways. The front door didn't lock. I called the owners and they did send someone out pretty quickly to get it fixed. The house itself is great. The view and availability to the beach was amazing. Location was everything. We ended up having an amazing trip.

Fresh and relaxing

We enjoyed our stay and the location. Sitting on the porch enjoying the ocean was the best. I liked the furnishings and decor. Had to contact the owner for an issue and communication was easy and clear. A few things could have made this a five star review.. the bed was hard and not very comfortable for my taste. The oven and stove wasn’t working so we could only microwave and toast. Having a smart tv on the WiFi so that I could cast shows to, or having more options than air broadcast, would have been nice. And it wasn’t very inviting on the lower level. A bright clean and organized garage would have made a world of difference.

Negatives-You go to the beach to be outside but the exterior of this house was our biggest disappointment. Grass or weeds too high to walk through and house looked abandoned from the outside. Downstairs was not appealing at all to use as livable space which is where the second bathroom and pull out couch is. Blinds on two windows did not work. Trim on floors were loose and became safety related issues due to tripping risk. Shower light did not work. No dishwasher so dishes are not sanitized. Outreach to owner by email or phone resulted in no response during our time to discuss issues.Positives-Home had what we needed to sleep on the second floor only. Would have loved to enjoy more of the deck but exterior was too unappealing and embarrassing compared to neighbors yards that were trimmed. Best part of the house was location to the beach and location to other features of Galveston. I would not stay at this home again for the price I paid. Too many other acceptable options.
