We love this property

We always stay at Gulf Shore Surf and Racquet Club when we are in Gulf Shores. The pool is great and the access to the beach is wonderful. We like the location because it is away from all the traffic. This unit it well stocked, nicely decorated and has a great view of the beach. It is a great option for a couple wanting to get away. We will be back.

Best of Both Worlds

Loved the location, room, access to bay and ocean. My favorite thing was to come back from the beach and spend additional time on balcony with chaise lounger. I actually read a whole book. Next time I’ll bring the spouse to fish the bay!

Great Stay!!

I loved the condo. Balcony faces ocean. It was very clean with smart Tv in bedroom and living room. However, in order to watch tv you have to have your own netflix account or Amazon Prime and it's slow. But you do have cable. Everything was great and can't wait to stay again next year.

SG's Swimfest

Everything was great except sand on the balcony and floors. Bathroom floor needed sweeping between toilet and tub. Fan in bathroom also needed cleaning. We would book this condo again.

Bathroom needs help

Our stay was okay. However, the bathroom door lock did not work, nor did the bathroom ventilator. Also we could not figure out how to watch live streaming tv in the bedroom.

Nice stay

The location is directly across from the beach access so it was easy to get to and that was nice. One elevator did make a funny noise once in a while but it seemed to be in good working order. I would recommend to bring Damp Rid. This condo holds moisture and the floors will be wet with out it. Other than that, It was a nice place to stay.

Review

Location was nice. Only one operational elevator during our stay. Room was very small. Property was clean, but there did appear to be some kind of mold on the cieling. Beach access was nice but the beach is very narrow in this location. Overall not a terrible stay but wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone I know for the cost.

Hello Robert, We are sorry you ran into these issues. Mold in the bathroom can be common when there is not ventilation during and after showering. Due to the humidity and temp. The elevator work is complete and now all four elevators work, instead of two. Give our office a call when you are ready to book, your next vacation.

Clean and updated condo

The condo itself was great. It was clean and updated. The only issue we had was the property having pressure washing done around 11pm which we could hear in the bedroom on the 6thfloor followed by large equipment of some kind around 6am with the beeping backup warnings continuously. So to get to sleep late and be woke up early was not what I had planned. That's out of the control of this particular rental agency but perhaps can be passed along to the property management. Overall a good stay. Would have liked it there was a beach service offering chair rentals. Someone should bring that down to this end of the beach.

Won’t stay there again.

Communication was poor with property management. The “new” elevator stopped working second day we were there. Mold on the ceiling in the living area. Sliding glass door would not lock. Washer and dryer did not work well. At least 2 cycles each time to clean and dry.

Extremely disappointing

The unit needs some serious attention along with the entire complex. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. Couch was the same the tv operations was completely out of wack. We packed are tennis racquets because the place is called Gulf Shores Surf & Racquet Club the tennis courts had no nets and grass was growing on the asphalt. Only had one elevator working out of 4 spent a lot of unnecessary time waiting on elevators. Some sort of black stuff growing on closet and bathroom ceilings. If I could post pictures I would. I could keep going hopefully you get the end result here….find somewhere else to stay! ☹️☹️

We are very sorry that the tennis courts were closed. We only manage the unit itself, and not the entire complex. On the listing it says: Please forgive our progress as we bounce back from Sally. Some amenities might not be available, during your stay. The owners have since replaced the bed, corrected the mold issue and put a brand new recliner in the unit. We appreciate you taking the time to leave the review. We assure you that the owner has updated this unit .

Upon arrival at Gulf Shores Surf and Racquet Club, I took off my sandals and immediately noticed a considerable amount of sand on floors. No broom was available, so I wet a face cloth and wiped a small area in main room and it was filthy with dirt. It made me wonder when the last time it had been mopped. It was very gross! The rest of the condo was very clean. I did not contact Poole Vacation Rentals (property managers) immediately as I should have. I waited a day and half. In any case I emailed Angila Sarvold (who is in charge of housecleaning for Poole - ) about the condition of the floors and in reply received an unprofessional response. I can provide email exchange if needed. In the future I will definitely try to avoid renting any more vacation properties thru Poole or those that use Gleam Team housekeeping.

Life’s a Beach

Very cozy place with great landscaped pool . Has everything you need for cooking . We found black mold in bathroom, dirty furnace filter, and sleeper sofa bed had food crumbs on bed sheets.

The condo is as gorgeous as the pictures.

The condo is as gorgeous as the pictures. The room was clean and well stocked. The biggest complaint we had was, everything stuck to the "non-stick" fry pan. Cooking bacon and eggs was a challenge. Time for a replacement. The bed and furniture was very comfortable, and the A/C blew very cold. There is a great view of the pool and sound on the door side. There is an unobstructed view of the Gulf from the living room and balcony. Crossing to the beach was very easy. Traffic is light in this area. The walk is very short, and the building has its own private access. The building has docks and a private boat launch on the sound. The parking lot is boat trailer friendly. We brought kayaks on a trailer and had no issues. There is a small beach for kayak launching, so you don't need the boat ramp for kayaks. It is a short paddle to the cut to the Gulf. Watch the tides. During an incoming tide, the cut is clear as paddling in a swimming pool. A MUST see to swim, paddle, and play. We go to the area often, I think we have found our new favorite condo
