Not as Pictured, Not Clean
The photos made the condo seem so glamorous. Though it was pricey compared to other 3BR oceanfront units, we loved the pics & booked it. When we arrived, we were let down. The pictures on this site closely match the Zillow pictures from when the unit was sold in 2023, with pretty art on the walls, a large picture over the mantel, & a full sized dining table & 6 chairs. Our table was a little circular thing w/4 chairs, and walls had bare hooks, no art. Valances? Gone. The 9 white chairs on the deck? 6 were replaced, maybe due to old age, because my 116 lb, 86 y/o mom sat in one of the other 3 chairs and it tore, pitching her to the floor. The place overall was very dirty: shower stalls growing mold in corners, there were HUGE cobwebs over the loft bed & in 1 skylight. Air vents could only be described as hairy. If the place had had just 1 good cleaning & rug shampoo at the season's start, it could not have looked like this. The ceiling fan was inoperable (assuming I found the correct remote, which I had to buy batteries for). The AC units were low in refrigerant (according to HVAC guy), leading to upstairs unit freezing up during the week and the loft being 83⁰ on Friday when the HVAC guy came to try & fix. I had the duty to lay towels around the AC and check on them during the night to avoid flooding to the floor below. We requested a credit for that last, very hot night; owner declined. Do not waste your money here; things are NOT as they seem.
