The Moose Den offers a home away from home. This quintessential A-Frame log style cabin offers all the creature comforts one would want, while being nestled in the picturesque mountains, with the sound of St. Mary's River off in the distance. Our cabin is located only 10 minutes South of Kimberley Town Center or 20 minutes North of the Cranbrook International Airport. Nestled between the Rocky and Purcell Mountain Ranges, in the St. Mary's River Valley, this cabin is the ultimate 4-season mountain getaway.

The Area:

Golf - The area is considered a "Golfer's Paradise" with 3 Championship 18 Hole Golf Courses at your doorstep and 7 more Golf Courses within a 30 minute drive of the property.

Ski - For those looking for adventure and bluebird powder days, The Kimberley Alpine Resort boasts 80+ runs and over 1800 acres of terrain. The resort is very family friendly, with terrain for all skill levels and is only a short 15 minutes away. Perfect opportunity to make core memories with your children, family members, friends or someone special.

Play - Mountain Bike, Hike, Snowmobile, Fish, Hike, Paddle Boarding, Boating, Nature Walks, the outdoors is your playground and right outside your front door. The property backs onto one of the largest municipal parks in Canada.

Kimberley Town Center - Offers a unique, pedestrian-only Platzl with an array of boutique shops and restaurants. It also acts as a central location for festivals, farmers markets and community gatherings. Our children love to ride their bikes and scoot around, making friends and soaking in the Vitamin D. They stop for ice cream or treats from the candy store when they need a break, we have so many fond memories of spending sunny afternoons here.

The Property:

This property is ideal for Couples, Family Gatherings or Group Getaways. Sitting on 3 levels, the main floor offers a kitchen/dining Area, living room with a beautiful wood burning fireplace and vaulted ceilings, 1 bedroom (King Bed) and a full bathroom with laundry. The top floor loft offers a relaxing retreat with two standard size beds (Doubles), TV, half bathroom and views from all angles. Super for for the kids to explore, or for the adults to sneak away for a daytime nap. Head down to the bottom floor and you will find a theatre area with a huge TV and sectional couch, full bathroom and a 3rd bedroom (Queen Bed).

This property comes with a fully equipped kitchen, all linens, complimentary Wi-Fi, Smart TV’s for Netflix etc. (4 of them!), Outdoor BBQ, Washer/Dryer and Geothermal Heating/Cooling, 8-30lb Dumbbells, Telus Cable in the downstairs theatre room, kids toys, books, board games, puzzles etc.

Spend your mornings cozying up to the wood burning fireplace reading a book, or enjoying a coffee or tea on the deck, taking in the breathtaking views with the sounds of the rushing river below in the valley. Spend your days exploring the Platzl, going on an adventure, or taking a walk through the neighbourhood. Deer frequent the area, so you are sure to meet some of these furry friends on your journey. Spend your evenings relaxing in the theatre room or enjoying dinner on the deck, it's truly up to you and what your heart desires. Make the stay what you want, with your version of fun or relaxation. The opportunities are truly endless, with so many memories to be made.

Family Getaway

Wonderful week long stay at the beautiful Moosehead property in Kimberley, BC. Communication with host was quick and easy with prompt response. Property is located in a beautiful spot just outside the town of Kimberly. Forested, private, quiet and serene. Cabin is well appointed with all necessary supplies and is well stocked. Comfortable beds, great water pressure and wonderful fireplace. Just what we all needed this week to rest and relax. Thank you for a great stay! Would highly recommend

We come to Kimberley every summer with our family. This was our first stay at the Mooseden cabin. We loved this property! Very clean and well stocked with everything we needed for our week. Tamara is a fantastic host and was very easy to communicate with. Any questions were answered very quickly. Looking forward to staying hopefully next summer!

Wonderful cabin in an excellent location.

The accommodation and location were excellent. Comfortable, very well equipped. The hosts have thought of everything. Other pluses, we had use of the campsite pool and could walk to the river, where we fished and explored. Access to some amazing golf courses, hiking and biking trails. Close to both Kimberley and Cranbrook. The Cranbrook Airport is very close by as well, so easy access if you plan to fly to the area. We would definitely stay again. One note: if you have difficulty managing stairs, be aware there are a few flights you will have to maneuver. Cheers.

Slice of perfection!

This cabin was worth every penny! It was well stocked, clean as a whistle, and just perfect! The AC pumped right through this heat wave, to give us reprieve from the scorching hot days at our favourite lakes! People are super friendly! This location is superb for all your outdoor adventures! Tamara (Owner) was super friendly, informative, and helpful! She responded to messages regarding the cabin within minutes. I would highly recommend renting this place! I will be saving all my Pennie’s for a family winter getaway!! Thank you Tamara!!!

Kimberley Family Adventures

First off I'd like to say thank you to the new property owner Tamara for keeping our booking for the May long weekend. I had booked with the previous owner and Tamara reached out to me directly to help us keep the booking through her. Tamara made it comfortable and easy to reach out if we needed anything and got back to me promptly with answers to my questions during our stay. Everything was just like the pictures and evenmore spacious than we expected. Accommodated 6 adults no problem. We loved how stocked the place was with essentials, like a home away from home. The fireplace is well marked to see the damper and lots of wood was provided. The view off the balcony is great with afternoon sun. Lots of walkable trails around and along the St Mary's River. Short drive into Kimberley to get groceries. We are from Haliburton ON and came to visit family in Kimberley for a white water rafting trip. We noticed the neighbour across from us had a gas or propane fire pit table on their balcony which would be a great addition if I could suggest one ;). Would definitely stay here again the next time we come to visit!

Moose Den is beyond perfect and made our trip of a lifetime so pleasant. The house went well above any of our expectations!!! The house/cabin is gorgeous, clean and very well maintained. The views are incredibly magical! The fireplace and deck definitely are a fabulous place to sit for drinking coffee in the morning and wine in the evening to just breath and take it all in! We had wonderful hiking weather to a beautiful snowfall. The neighborhood is quiet, clean and deer travel through the front yard and neighborhood all day long. Moose Den was a huge treat! 1,000 percent recommend. Hiking trails are very close to the cabin. Kimberley is a quaint little town and the people are friendly and fun.Tamara is the best host ever! Very, very responsive and excellent communicator. We had an emergency situation and needed to check in a day earlier than planned. Tamara bent over backwards to accommodate our needs. It was beyond what a host needed to do for us. Yet, she helped us cheerfully and willing. It was a true blessing.Truly hope we can return some day!

Tamara the host is at the top of the list when it comes to super hosts. She was incredibly responsive to any of our questions. It became obvious from the beginning that she wanted everything to be as perfect as could be.The place itself was exactly as advertised. It was clean and had everything we needed. The location was perfect, in a quiet location next to a campground that made it feel like we were at truly away from home. Having the river close by to walk to was nice, although it was a steep climb back to the cabin. Also, there was a great mini-golf (one of the best I have ever seen) just up the hill that also served generous portions of ice cream.Fantastic place that we would re-book in a heart beat the next time our travels take us to Kimberley.

Picturesque Cabin

We stayed in this beautiful cabin with friends/teammates. We came to Kimberly for the Western Canadian Championships in cross-country skiing. It was important to our group to have a place big enough to hold us so we could coordinate everything that goes into a weekend like this and we were able to tag team to make it all work. The cabin was only a 15 minute drive from the trails. It was clean, comfortable and slept all 8 of us comfortably. It was also the best stocked Place we’ve stayed at which was really nice. The wood burning fireplace was lovely after a day of racing. Tamara was very easy to communicate with and our arrival and departure were seamless. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We are a family of 4 from Calgary Alberta. We have 2 young children, Liam & Mila who absolutely adore Kimberley and their "Vacation Home" as they call it. Although we are new to VRBO, our family has been vacationing on River Bend Lane for the last 2 summers, and we absolutely fell in love with the area and these gorgeous A Frame Cabins. It has been a dream to own one since our first stay, and to develop those core memories for our children. We came across an opportunity, now here we are, and we would love for people to experience the beauty and the serenity of staying at our home away from home.

The people are incredibly friendly, and the beauty and serenity is second to none. There are sounds of children laughing and playing, the roaring river in the backdrop, and people out and enjoying nature everywhere. Trails are at your doorstep and the Deer are plentiful. It is safe, quaint, picturesque and for us, we feel so at peace when here.
