Set directly across the quiet coastal road from Onetangi Beach, with no houses in front, Beachfront Bliss is a refreshed 1950s cottage made for simple, uninterrupted beachfront living. Sea views fill the home from sunrise to sunset, and with cafés, beachfront dining, and long stretches of sand just metres away, it’s an easy base for couples, friends, or a small family.



The Space:

Beachfront Bliss blends the character of a classic Waiheke bach with a fresh, modern feel. The open-plan living, dining, and kitchen area faces straight out to the water, keeping the home light throughout the day. Cane armchairs, a feather-filled sofa, and a six-seater dining table create a relaxed, welcoming place to settle in after the beach. A smart TV with Netflix and cable sits comfortably within the space without dominating it.



The kitchen is simple, uncluttered, and well set up for holiday use, equipped with a Breville Barista style coffee machine, Bosch dishwasher, and everything needed for easy meals at home. Large windows and sliding doors open the living area to the sheltered front deck, where cushioned loungers and a quality BBQ extend daily living outdoors. It’s a quiet, sunny spot for slow breakfasts, long afternoons in the shade, or watching the evening light settle across Onetangi Bay.



Two comfortable bedrooms sit at the rear of the home, both with hotel-style bedding and air-conditioning. The master bedroom has a super-king bed, while the second bedroom includes two king singles, making the layout practical for couples, friends, or families wanting a peaceful beachfront base. The bathroom is bright and functional, ideal for rinsing off after the sand.



From the front deck, it’s only a few steps across the coastal road to the beach, perfect for morning swims, long shoreline walks, or slipping easily between home and the sea throughout the day.

The Neighborhood:

Beachfront Bliss sits directly across the quiet coastal road from Onetangi Beach, one of Waiheke’s most loved stretches of sand. This part of the beach is wide, calm, and sun-filled, perfect for swimming, long shoreline walks, or settling in with a picnic and a book. The area feels relaxed and coastal, with the sound of waves carrying across the road and a gentle, slow-paced atmosphere from morning through evening.



A short stroll along the waterfront brings you to some of the island’s best beachfront dining. Ki Māha offers refined seasonal dishes in a polished but relaxed setting, while Charlie Farley’s is a long-standing favourite for breakfast, coffee, and easygoing meals right beside the sand. Three Seven Two sits across from the beach and serves modern coastal food with a strong focus on local produce.



Everyday essentials are close by. Four Square Onetangi provides fresh produce, pantry items, meats, and anything needed for simple holiday cooking. Liquorland Onetangi is stocked with Waiheke wines, New Zealand craft beers, and beach-friendly refreshments.



The home is also well placed for exploring the island’s vineyard valley. Stonyridge, Tantalus Estate, Te Motu, Wild Estate, and Casita Miro each offer their own distinct atmosphere, from elegant long lunches to relaxed family-friendly spaces and Mediterranean-style dining with sea views. The Heke, a popular gathering spot known for craft beer, whisky, and outdoor dining beneath the trees, is also within easy reach.



All wineries and dining spots are just a short drive or a simple bus ride from the property, making it effortless to enjoy the best of the area without needing a car.



Getting Around:

Regular buses run from Onetangi into Oneroa and continue on to the Matiatia passenger ferry, stopping near major wineries including Tantalus, Stonyridge, and The Heke. With a bus stop less than a minute’s walk from the house, exploring without a car is simple. Taxis are available but can be costly, so buses are a practical option. Onsite parking and car hire are available for guests who prefer to drive.



Other Things to Note:

Waiheke relies entirely on rainwater tanks, and water is a limited natural resource on the island. To support sustainable living and protect local supply, especially during the drier summer months, we ask guests to be mindful of their water use throughout their stay.



Minimum stays apply:

7 nights mid-December to mid-January

3 nights on long weekends

2 nights at all other times



House has reverse style airconditioning in every room including the living areas, this provides cooling and heating.



The property has a barista style coffee machine that takes coffee beans.



The property sits directly across the coastal road from Onetangi Beach, with no houses on the beach side.
