Good getaway

Excellent view only bad thing is dog poo on back lawn and a bad smell in bathroom otherwise excellent we would stay again

Antwort von VrboOwner am 8. Okt. 2023
Hi Craig, i just wanted to personally reach out and apologise for the two issues you experienced whilst staying at our home. Whilst we do always try our absolute hardest to present a great holiday home to our guests, unfortunately we may not always get things perfect. We 1oo% encourage and appreciate feedback as it helps us to improve in areas that we otherwise would not know. Upon speaking to our cleaning team about the issue of drain odour, we were told that previous guests who had just departed chose to clean fish in the laundry sink, I suspect this may be the cause. Had we have known this prior to your arrival, all measures would have been undertaken, as is this case now. With regard to the dog poo on the lawn, Although we have a gardening team that maintains the yard on a fortnightly roster, We are also at the mercy of previous guests ensuring they clean up after their pets too. Unfortunately also, as the yard is not fully fenced we are unable to stop other dogs from entering. The lawn area and house was inspected prior to your arrival and was definitely all clear.. but, I have recently noticed a neighbours dog from up the hill strays into the yard during late hours, which I suspect has occurred during your stay. I know this information may be cold comfort, but I hope it goes some way to help in providing an explanation. Again, we appreciate your review although it may be a good consideration in the future to reach out to the host during your stay if there is issues in order to provide them a chance to rectify. Unfortunately the short term rental market is less forgiving than traditional reviews of hotels and result in the algorithm dropping a listing down in rank. Kind regards, Clint Hemming Valley View Home PL

Dear Nadeene, Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. I’m truly sorry to hear that the backyard situation was disappointing for you. Your comfort and expectations are very important to us, and I apologize for any inconvenience caused by the lack of fencing. I appreciate your kind words about the accommodation itself and will take your comments seriously as we work to improve the experience for future guests. If there’s anything further you’d like to share, please don’t hesitate to reach out directly. Wishing you all the best, Clint & Kali Hemming Eyre Hosting Co.

Extremely well presented and clean, a beautiful fresh smell as you enter, instructions for accessing were good. We didn't take children but the home is set up well for just adults or families with kids activities outside and in but also not in the way so to speak if just adults staying. Insanely clean and kitchen fully stocked with pans, utensils etc you may need. The only one thing we would note is if you're looking at the images ie fire pit, pizza oven, inside fire thinking you'll use 'all' of these, probably bring some wood as only some wood is left, but 'if' you intend to do that and bring some along you won't be disappointed. Overall, a fantastic setup that has had a lot of thought put into the details to try to ensure a lovely stay for all and we would definitely recommend it to others. K&J xx

Beautiful, relaxing, home away from home stay

Hello! Thank you so so much for the lovely stay in your home! It was so beautiful and homey. The view is breathtaking. And thank you for your warm welcome and for making us feel at home. The attention to detail was insane, the book about the property and our stay contained all the information I needed and allowed for minimal contact needed between myself and the host without those little annoying constant questions “what time is bin night?” Etc; but in saying that the hosts would’ve been very happy to help in any way, with a message here and there wishing us a nice stay and a reminder if we had any questions or if we needed anything they were there! When we come down again we will definitely stay here again, and I will recommend it to everyone if they ever head down this way. Thank you! Kind regards, Erin
