Dies ist ein neu renoviertes, ideales Ferienhaus! Dieses komfortable Flusshaus befindet sich an einem Kanal, der zum Crystal River führt. Keine Brücken. Es liegt in einer ruhigen, versteckten Gegend am Fort Island Trail. Das Haus hat einen Grundriss mit zwei Schlafzimmern, einen offenen Wohnbereich, eine Garage für zwei Autos mit Öffner und eine abgeschirmte Veranda mit Blick auf den Kanal. Alle Geräte sind neu. Das Hauptschlafzimmer ist groß und verfügt über ein Kingsize-Bett und eine Badewanne. Zu den weiteren Annehmlichkeiten zählen zwei Kajaks, ein Stoßfänger-Billardtisch und ein Whirlpool für sechs Personen. Ein Rad- und Wanderweg ist weniger als eine Viertelmeile entfernt. Very nice!

The home was clean and comfortable. Very spacious. Beds were very comfortable. We loved the screened porch overlooking the canal. Appreciated the convenient location, and the quiet safe neighborhood. We did not utilize the hot tub or the kayaks. The garage was a real plus. It was a peaceful trip!

Christmas in Crystal River

This house was the perfect place to call home over our holiday. Spacious, relaxing, clean, plenty to keep the teens busy, loved using the kayaks and seeing manatees and dolphins on the river. We did a little fishing, used the hot tub most mornings and nights and enjoyed bird watching from the screen porch. If we visit the area again I would definitely stay here.

Very comfortable house and great location

House was very comfortable for our family of six. The canal coming back was 1-2 ft deep on low tide and 3-4 on high which was plenty of depth for my 26 ft center console. Overall this is one of the nicest homes we have stayed at in Crystal River.

Great first trip to Crystal River

House was very clean and provided everything we needed for a great trip. It was in an excellent location for us to access the river by boat, centralized between the gulf and springs. The location allowed us to have a day of fishing, a day for scalloping and a day to relax and enjoy the springs! Lots of great memories were made. Looking forward to another trip one day!

Wonderful host that become your friends fast! Great neighborhood with wonderful people to hang out with a fire! Great house with everything you need and a hot tub we used every night after biking the great trails, watching the manatees, kayaking from the back dock! We are coming back next year!!! Lovely getaway!

We are visiting family in Crystal River but needed our own home base. This house was great for families with small children. The layout was perfect and while nicely decorated, there was nothing precious that we had to worry about the kids touching. Kitchen had everything you could need. If you’re staying for more than a few days you may want to purchase some extra paper products. Lots of games, grill, hot tub and two kayaks kept us entertained in the evenings.

Great host and spacious home

We’ve stayed here before and changes we suggested on our last stay were made by John. That is rare in my opinion and it made it more comfortable for what we do. Which is fish and clean fish! Lol The house has ample room and activities for about any age, it was clean and well appointed and John is very attentive and accommodating. The neighbors are all friendly as well and I would definitely stay again.

Wonderful stay in Crystal River

My family and I just returned from spending 35 days here. The house had everything we needed and more. My son is a chef and loved the layout of the kitchen. My dad is recovering from knee replacement and the house was perfect for him. There are no stairs and had a nice walk in shower. We enjoyed the kayaks and saw manatees every day in the bay. The house is also close enough to visit Rainbow River and Devil's den. We've already booked the house again in January to see all the manatees when they arrive for the winter.

Wonderful Getaway

We had a great time staying in Crystal River. The house had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and there was a TV in every room with all the good channels. We brought our boat down and it was great having it at the dock and being able to hop in the boat and go whenever we wanted to. John the owner was super nice and the neighbors were great! My son also came with his boat and we had plenty of room to park the vehicles and the trailers. We went scalloping everyday and came back to the house and had a relaxing evening. It was very quiet and peaceful in the neighborhood. We will definately stay here again!

Great Place on Crystal River Canal

We were very impressed with the property. We rent a lot of vacation properties and this was one of the cleanest and best-equipped homes we've stayed at. It's in a quiet residential neighborhood with nice neighbors on a tight, but navigable canal just minutes from Crystal River (we had no problems at low tide, but it could be really shallow during the low winter tides). Three nice bedrooms (all with cable TV) and 2 bathrooms. Beds were comfortable with good linens. The living area is very open and comfortable. Large open kitchen with granite countertops and new, high-end appliances. Nice matching serving ware (not the hodgepodge of assorted plates/glasses you often get) and good stainless pots/pans. Also has coffee maker (filter basket kind, not K-cup), toaster, crock pot, hand mixer, small food processor and I think, a blender. It has a 2-car garage with a remote and a screened-in patio with a nice hot tub. There is a small 2-burner gas grill off of the rear patio - large enough for some steaks, burgers or chicken, but not big enough to grill a lot of ribs. There is a small floating dock off the back of the lot which comfortably fit our 20' boat. There's a small 4' gator that hung around the area and was not a problem for us, but might be for a small pet. There are 2 small kayaks/paddles/life vests in the garage which were handy to paddle around in the canal (easy to launch from the floating dock) and take out to the springs (saving $35 per kayak in rental there). Unlike every other Florida home we've rented, we did not see a single bug in the house. No ants, no spiders, no palmetto bugs, none. It was exceptionally clean. If new to the area, we can highly recommend Live Action Charters for fishing. Justin was an awesome guide and we took a couple of trips with him. For a great meal, check out Seafood Seller - had some of the best Cajun food we've had outside of Louisiana. Grannies is great for a quick, cheap and great breakfast. The only complaint I had was with the property security deposit. I have no problem at all with a security deposit, but I would not expect to be billed for it at the time of reservation - in our case, 6 months before we to actually be there. I don't know if that policy is dictated by the property owner or by Home Away/VRBO, but it seems unnecessary to tie up $1200 that far in advance. So, all in all, we could not have been happier with the rental. It's a very nice home. -John K.

Nice Home

Property was very nice. Canal was super shallow for our 25ft center console but we made it work. Word is the canal has been approved to be cleaned and dredged. House could use a little TLC but would definitely recommend to anyone with a smaller boat or flats boat. Neighbors are friendly and helpful too!

Great place to stay

Our 6 adults were here for the start of scallop season. The canal, dock and access were great. The house was super accommodating and clean. The porch and outdoor area is nice . The hosts were responsive and communicated well.

Manatee Heaven

We had a wonderful stay and this has been our favorite trip by far! We took our bikes to a great fishing hole close to the house, took a short drive to fort island beach to play in the water, rented a boat for the day, kayaked up and down the river, played in the hot tub, and shopped in town. The owner is extremely responsive and accommodating! Great stay!

Great location for boaters

Great house in a great location for anything boating. Easy access to kings bay, springs, sandbars and scalloping. The house had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Awesome place to stay!

Everything we could have asked for on this scalloping and fishing adventure with the grandkids. Public boat launch just down the road, easy access from the dock to the gulf, bait shop just up the road. Grocery stores and great food within minutes of the house. We grilled fish and scallops, kids even caught redfish in the canal between trips. Definitely recommend and plan to visit again!

Very nice homey house. Central location. Boat ramp 1 mile away. Easy access out to gulf and scalloping. Easy access to kings bay. Host excellent communication and accommodations. Will definitely stay again.

John and Leonette live in Brooksville Florida (about a 40 minute drive from the property). Leonette is a retired teacher, John is a retired banker. We have owned a vacation home in Crystal River since 1999. We love the area.

This property is spacious, clean and very relaxing. The backyard setting with the screen porch that includes comfortable seating and a spa is second to none. Single story, no stairways. Everything is ground level for easy access.

Great area for outdoor activities including biking and kayaking. A floating dock allows for boat mooring and kayak launching. Inside is pleasant and includes a bumper pool table and seating for 10 at a farm table. Also, bar seating for four overlooking the kitchen and living area is included. There’s lots and lots of room.
