Comfortable, centrally located family home with great transport links, that is a great base from which to explore all that London has to offer. The house is highly suitable for families, with three double bedrooms, spacious kitchen/dinner, a large living room, and a beautiful private garden. mfortable, featuring many family antiques as well as lots of creature comforts. * The sleeping accommodation comprises three bedrooms with a double bed in each room, split over the 2nd & 3rd Floors. * Also on those floors are two full bathrooms. * The 1st floor features a large drawing room with lots of comfortable seating, cable TV and DVD player and DVDs and Books for you to utilise. *On The ground floor you will find the a large open-plan kitchen, dining and seating area with access to a large garden at the rear of the property. A WC can also be found on this floor. The host lives in a separate apartment in the basement of the property with its own entrance. There is a connecting door in the basement of the house via the shared laundry facilities, however, interaction is minimal, but they are there should anything arise or you have any queries during your stay. Excellent City Stay in beautiful Historic Home

We stayed in the beautiful property for 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our time. This property has easy access to public transport - the bus stops just 5 houses away and just 3 houses away is a Bicycle Stand where you can rent a bike and travel quickly across Lambeth Bridge into Parliament Square. The #59 Bus will take you directly to Kings Cross/St Pancras Station for access to the Eurostar and the airports.

This property has everything you need to have an comfortable stay with 3 double bedrooms; 2 full bathrooms and 1 powder room, fabulous kitchen / family room and a very characterful sitting room. The garden is a delight too. There is also off street parking available! Alan was a great host and was available for information and assistance.

I hope we are able to return and next time we would stay for a week as it is so close to everything.

Great location, great ambiance

Could not have had a better host or location. Bus and tube steps away. Alan is very nice and helpful and was willing to answer any questions before we arrived as well as during our stay. He even helped us with the parking of our vehicle by giving us visitors passes. We especially enjoyed the sitting room for evening cocktails. The space was impeccably clean and we enjoyed every minute. We would absolutely recommend Alan and his home.

Absolutely charming!

The townhouse was well-equipped and very homey, with tons of books, natural light and garden views. Alan was easy to meet up with (something that always makes me nervous), and very helpful. The house had maps, spices, and umbrellas and such, not just a sterile rental. Very happy with our stay.

Very London

For our group, two grandparents, two parents and a nearly-three-year-old, this house was great. It gave us plenty of room and good separation, and the backyard is lovely. The kitchen is well equipped and there were shops nearby. Bus transport was good and close. The tube was a little more challenging, particularly for a pram. We very much enjoyed going up The Shard and lunch in the Borough Market. Alan was a lovely host, helpful but unobtrusive. We would be very happy to return.

Cozy, convenient and vertical

We had a great experience this week. Our host Alan was helpful and available, and made check-in and out seamless. The house is full of lovely furniture and art and fascinating books. We made breakfast every morning in the fully-equipped kitchen, and the two full baths on the floors with the bedrooms made getting ready in the morning easy. The garden behind the house is stunning and while it was a little chilly to spend time in in November it was still beautiful out the window over breakfast. And we loved the sitting room/library for hanging out in the evenings. That said, I was startled by how many stairs I ended up doing, since the sitting room is 1 flight up, and my bedroom was 3 flights up! It wasn't a difficulty for 5 able-bodied adults, but know that many stairs are in your future.

The several bus lines that go right by the house run frequently, and Lambeth North tube station is only a short walk -- we were rarely more than 30 minutes from anywhere in London we wanted to be. Highly recommended!
