Summary:
With a pool, Nordic hot tub, and sweeping decks overlooking Palm Beach, Calypso brings spacious, easy island living together in one generous home designed for groups and families.
The Space:
Set above Palm Beach, Calypso by Stay Waiheke is a light-filled, multi-level home with room for everyone to settle in and enjoy the island at their own pace. The upper level is the main gathering space, with open-plan living, dining, and a modern kitchen that extends onto wide decks facing the sea. It’s a relaxed spot for breakfast in the sun, reading outdoors, or shared dinners as the light softens.
Two bedrooms sit on this level, one with an ensuite along with an additional guest toilet.
Downstairs, a second living and dining area creates extra room for families or groups wanting to spread out. Three more bedrooms, including a second ensuite, sit on this level along with the main bathroom. Doors open directly to the pool and Nordic hot tub area, surrounded by outdoor seating for long afternoons in the sun or quiet evenings outside.
The home is set up with practical comforts for families, including a highchair, cot, baby gate, and baby bath. Pool heating is available on request: $150 in winter and $100 in other seasons.

The Neighborhood:
Calypso sits in a central location close to Palm Beach, Ostend, and local cafés.
For breakfast or coffee, Island Coffee on Belgium Street and The Carpark Café in Ostend are close by. Lunch spots include Arcadia at Palm Beach or Take A Bite Café in Ostend. For dinner, nearby Oneroa Village offers Wai Kitchen and Fenice, both within a short drive.
Wineries a few minutes away include Tantalus Estate, Stonyridge, and Wild on Waiheke, ideal for tastings and long lunches. For casual dining, The Heke serves wood-fired dishes, local beer, and has a lively garden bar.
Palm Beach is around a 10-minute walk via the garden track, and the Ostend Market is close for Saturday shopping and local food.
Getting Around:
From Calypso’s location, getting around is smooth and relaxed. The Matiatia passenger ferry terminal is roughly a 10-minute drive, making arrival and departure easy. Once you’re here, the bus network offers simple access across the island. The nearest bus stop (served by routes like 50A and 50B) is just a 3–4 minute walk away, meaning you can board at the ferry terminal and ride straight to “Ostend Domain”, then walk the short distance to the house.
Taxis and e-bike hire are also available nearby, and there is ample off-street parking on site for multiple vehicles.
Other Things to Note:
