The Neighborhood:
Shaw neighborhood is home to the beautiful Missouri Botanical Gardens, Tower Grove Park, and Forest Park. Forest Park alone has miles of tree-lined paths, playgrounds, fountains, and other exciting points of interest. There are many restaurants on Grand Ave and many more Italian restaurants on "The Hill" nearby. You're near major freeways, so scheduling a visit to a Cardinals game is a breeze. You can visit the Arch, visit beautiful Soulard, or tour the Anheuser-Busch brewery.

The Shaw neighborhood is a mix of stately, turn-of-the-last-century homes and well-maintained apartments in classic brick. University and medical students live alongside professionals, many young families, and long-term residents. It's diverse and friendly. Residents are quiet and respectful. You'll mostly want to drive or Uber/Lyft to get around as the street is residential for several city blocks.

Getting Around:
The best way to get around is by car, with most highways nearby. You can also use the Metro link light rail system to access many major attractions.

St. Louis also has both UBER and Lyft available. You'll also see many Lime and Bird electric scooters throughout the city, so you can zoom wherever you'd like!

Cozy place in St. Louis
The place was just as advertised. It was in a nice neighborhood and was perfectly in the center of everything 8 mins to the zoo 10 mins to the Arch 8 mins to the science center. Plenty of room for us to spread out and it was my wife and I and our 4 kids ranging into in ages from 9-16. We really enjoyed the comfortable beds and couch. And played games in the dining room. Great stay if we come back we will stay here again

Very nice place to stay
We really enjoyed this property. It was a great choice! Pros: Perfect location on a very nice quiet street, close enough to the highway to make getting around the city easy. Communication with the management company was easy through text and email. Rooms were good sized with ample closet space including hangers and laundry baskets Plenty of street parking (the garage was available but the alley was a tight squeeze for our larger vehicle). Things that could be cons but wouldn’t deter us from a future stay: The couch was way too deep to be able to sit on comfortably. Throw pillows would help. There are no dressers in the bedrooms and one of the bedrooms doesn’t have a closet. There were no blankets for sleeping, only the bedsheets and the heavy duvets. Something in between would have been great. Also having things like Kleenex, foil and ice trays in the kitchen, would be nice additions. Overall, we were happy with the property and wouldn’t have wanted to stay anywhere else.

We’ll cared for home for a family
We enjoyed this temporary stay as we visited family in the St. Louis area. The neighborhood was quiet. Parking was easy and the house was big enough for a family of 5.

Shaw neighborhood
We really enjoyed our stay. The home is well furnished, the kitchen beautifully renovated with great equipment, dishes etc. The management company Abodebucks was very responsive and easy to communicate with. We loved the location - the Shaw neighborhood is eclectic, many newly renovated homes. Walking in the neighborhood is a great activity with great restaurants and bars. Tower Grove Park and the Missouri Botanic Garden are both a few blocks away and spectacular! The neighbors are friendly, one even rang our doorbell to let us know we should move our car to avoid getting a ticket on street cleaning day. A few minor adjustments to the home will make this rental a 5. Add 2 smaller pillows to each bed, the current pillows are great for sitting in bed, but too large for sleeping. The back bedroom needs room darkening drapes like in the front bedroom - very bright in early am. Mirror/shelf over toilet in 2nd floor back bedroom needs to be cleaned. There is an old home musty smell (we had a lot of rain during our stay) - when we arrived there seemed to be a very strong fragrance possibly to cover this up, but I have an allergy to fragrance. Try a dehumidifier in the basement to decrease this musty odor. Place a hard copy list of instructions, wifi, passwords, etc in the kitchen or on the dining table. Street parking is readily available but it was also nice to have a garage. Despite the issues listed above, we would stay here again!
