The house was very clean and very comfortable. Quiet neighborhood even if a bit farther from Sedona than I first wanted. No regrets. I walked some of the local trails, 5-8 minute drive from the house - nice little hikes to have with my dogs. Time spent out on the patio reading was peaceful.

Nice place, home away from home! Since the community is rural and to respect the light pollution, no street lights on the streets, so the backyard area was dark, the solar lights weren't working and the porch light, lights up the porch, not backyard. Coyotes we're active a few nights, so didn't feel like sitting outside with no lights, and there's no fence around the property with coyotes running around, wasn't comfortable sitting outside with my dog. But all in all great spot for a few days.

We really enjoyed our stay! Close enough to Sedona to visit & not have to deal with the crowds. Also, close to the casino . Only thing we had to get used to was the multi -level flooring. We would definitely stay again...

Perfect location for us

This house is in a perfect location for us. We were only about 5 minutes from our family. The house has a few steps so be aware of that. Also, if you want to stay in the room with the king bed, we couldn't get the barn-style door to close or at least we didn't want to pull too hard on it. Also there is no adjoining bathroom to that king room so in the middle of the night, you have to go up those few steps (after remembering they are there). We loved the outside and sat out there a few times. A bird made a nest and laid some eggs so we saw some baby birds hatch. Great to have a washer/dryer so we could pack less. Did encounter a rather large spider in our room on the last night. As I am phobic and he wasn't paying to share the house, I wasn't happy to find him!

Javelina Haven House, Lake Montezuma, AZ

Dear Bonnie and Bill, thank you again for blessing us with us. Stay at your totally delightful VRBO perfect in so many ways we especially enjoyed the gorgeous patio covered area and the rock pebble areas. The flexibility outside area provided wonderful sunshine shade protection from one and delightful evening fires enjoying amazing stars there even views of the mountains off near Jerome Arizona. The VRBO is so cute, warm, inviting space and well appointed everything worked flawlessly. We enjoyed both the furnace on cool mornings and cooling on warm afternoons. The beds were good to gr great the king bed what's our favorite. Drives to outstanding hikes were no problem or big deal 20 minutes to 45. The nearby Peach tree restaurant in Lake Montezuma was our favorite in all of the Sedona area. We did the following hikes on our 3 Big Loop soldiers pass teacup and Sugarloaf. Boynton Canyon devils bridge go past the bridges and up the to, right past the bridge about 10 amazing views that no one goes to Chapel Loop my Favorite Baldwin Loop, Moscow Mountain Loop red rock State Park. We took in the national parks and monuments near VRBO and Montezuma castle petroglyphs at VB Ranch. The brewpub Sedona beer Company camp downtown Sedona great food. We also enjoyed the DA Ranch Vineyard, but it was so nice to come back to the comfortable and safe VRBO on the patio have a cocktail or look at the stars, we will be back. We enjoyed it so much thank you again!

Great central location

Very quiet neighborhood. Friendly neighbors. Nice patio and bbq. Great jumping off point to Sedona, Cottonwood, Jerome and others. We’re going back next year.

Lake Montezuma stay

House was clean, beds comfortable. Kitchen had all the essentials. Lots of streaming options on TV. We were unfortunately unable to enjoy the back patio firepit due to weather. Would definitely stay again

Wonderful Vacation

This was one of the best vacations we’ve had and so much of it was due to our stay at Javelina Guest House. We felt right at home and the neighborhood was quiet and friendly. Will be booking our next stay soon. Can’t wait to come back. It’s our new home away from home!
