View spectacular and location was sublime. Very peaceful siting out in the garden enjoying the Blue Mountains. However, house wifi and TV weren't available and bins were full of rubbish. Cleaning not the best. Tried to contact the property manager but did not answer or respond.

Great holiday

High View is a wonderful house in an amazing location. Great view from the garden to the three sisters. A trail starts in the backyard that takes you to Sublime point in 10 minutes. The house is very well equipped. We had a great time.

Great location, spectacular view

Fantastic location with spectacular view!! Great bush walks at your doorstep. House was clean & comfortable, but a bit noisy on windy nights. Communication was excellent. We all had a wonderful time.

Great location, dated home

We stayed at Highview 4 years ago and decided to stay again. We were highly disappointed to see that home hasn’t been updated at all in 4 years. The crockery is even still the same! When we arrived the view is absolutely spectacular but that was the only good thing about it. The floors were filthy dirty, there was mould on the light fixtures, a pillow in one of the bedrooms was covered in mould and the main shower leaks straight out and covers the bathroom floor in water when you use it. My daughter crawled on the floor and her pants were black in no time. We had to reclean the floors and wipe all the surfaces over. The location of the house is fabulous but for the price you pay the owners could do some kind of upgrading.

Convenient, quiet and great escape for a couple of days

Wonderful, sunlit house with an amazing view. Reasonably well-stocked kitchen and a great collection of books. Only downsides are that it can be quite windy on some nights (the trade-off for the incredible view!) and there is no AC or fan (though Leura tends to be quite cool at night even in the summer).

Spectacular view!

We have an annual family trip in the Blue Mountains and Highview is exactly that...a high view. The Three Sisters are awe inspiring, especially when you can sit in front of a log fire in your pjs with your morning coffee! Highview itself has everything you need. The basics like coffee and tea were available. Unlike some places you need to bring your own toiletries but I believe that was in the listing. Being able to do some washing makes the return home a little less overwhelming (to this Mum in anycase!). There were loads of games to play (indoor and outdoor) and books to read. Kitchen had everything you need and although we didn't use the pizza oven (too windy!) there were trays and pizza wheels. The kitchen items are basic and a little like a bric-a-brac shop in that there's a variety of different glasses and plates and the coffee cups have a fairly thick rim...pet hate of mine! In saying that I went to Blackheath antique emporium and purchased an antique Churchill mug with a thin rim that has now been designated my travel mug. (Cup snob!) Our only other issue with Highview was the microwave wasn't working, the fireplace door is a little dodgy to close, some power points weren't working and the main bathroom shower leaked over the floor. These are just little things you would notice in your own home and nothing that would stop you enjoying your stay! Thanks for sharing

Amazing location

The house was perfect for a weekend getaway. Beautiful bush walks right at our back door. Super cosy with the ducted heating and fire place. So nice to wake up to the view of the three sisters. Would definitely stay at Highview again.

Great View

The property is in a great position with amazing views and woodfire was great. Only disappointment was that on arrive there was not coffee or sugar and the shower did not have any soap/shower gel/shampoo like at most B&B’s that we have been to on Stayz. We also found the washing up clothes, dish-towels in the kitchen and even the hand towels in the bathroom needing replacement.

You have to stay here!

We had an amazing time staying at this property, just not long enough to really enjoy the peace and quiet this place has to offer. The house was very very comfortable. We had 4 adults and 2 children staying in the house and it was such fun, with no issues on space or amenities it provided. I thought the views showed in the photographs would have been if i stepped on tiptoes and kinked my neck to the right i might be able to see a glimpse of that view, but i was wrong, that view as stated in the photos is from every front room of the house, absolutely amazing! We were in awe of the beauty - it was like our very own lookout! We enjoyed great laughs catching up in the house, the pizza oven was a plus and plan to come back and enjoy the walks and views from the outside areas when it is a little warmer. The owner of this property was very very accommodating with my text questions and for that i thank you! We plan to be back, thanks so much, enjoyed it!

Mesmerising View

The view was magical, especially sunrise & sunset. The house itself is stylish, comfortable and had all we required. The Pizza oven was a highlight for our family! We had a great evening rolling out pizza, cooking, eating by the fire. Good family vacation, close to some good walks, which we made the most of and conveniently located not far from Leura Mall. The only 'negative's' were lack of draws or wardrobe in the third bedroom and the games could do with updating.(we brought our own selection of games so it was okay!) also, a map of the area with suggested walks or local restaurants etc could be a nice touch. Overall, a great time for our family at this house!

We had a wonderful time ! The location of the house is amazing. The only big disappointment was the cleaning, very dusty, on top of the furniture you can easy see the dust ! It feel the didn't clean a least x a month ! I think if you a renting the place, someone need to go there and see that everything is perfect, I think really need some love, someone to look after it. Especially when you a paid good money for it .. Just the cleaning nothing else the beds were wonderful & cleaned .. We loved the pizza oven ...

We stayed for 6 nights at Highview. Two adults, two teens (13 and 14) and one grandma. We spend time in the Blue Mountains almost every autumn, and have a broad experience with the quality and value of comparable properties in this tariff range. Highview "Pros": You couldn't find a prettier spot in the Blue Mountains if you want unobstructed views from your accommodation. We loved the views from Highview. It is in a quiet cul-de-sac (note: there is a walking trail that crosses between the house and escarpment, so you regularly get local dog-walkers trekking through your 'front lawn'). The house itself is a renovated 1960's style 3 bedroom home, which takes full advantage of the view. New-ish bathroom and kitchen, a combustion fireplace and an outdoors pizza oven, second toilet (no exhaust fan), and a second shower in the laundry (although there is a clear window and door panel making it awkward to use). There are two queen bedrooms (one with built-in wardrobe), and a twin single room (with a partially filled chest of drawers). It has ducted gas heating (no air-conditioning). Comfortable couch, 2 lounge chairs and ottoman. 3 very under-filled beanbags. Outdoor pizza – we used this twice which was excellent, but it had been left full of ash so we needed to clean up thoroughly before using. Bed linens – good quality and beds made up, a big plus. Comfortable ensembles. Highview "Cons": All the things we found wanting in Highview could be rectified with a $1000 - $2000 injection of funds and some TLC. Kitchen: Several weeks before our stay, we wrote to the property managers asking for an inventory of kitchen equipment, so we'd know what to bring with us. They advised they didn't keep an inventory (how do you keep track of losses?), stating "everything was included, but bring all your food". There is a distinct lack of drinking glasses (apart from champagne flutes and 4-5 glass and plastic wine glasses) available. With 5 people we had 7 coffee mugs and NO tumblers. Also, not enough cereal bowls. Plenty of ramekins, however. The electric oven is large but has a non-functioning digital display (no clock, no timer), and makes a continuous noise even when not in use. Excellent gas range, but no range hood (ceiling exhaust fan only). We arrived to find the pantry filled with opened packages of dry food and spices - either from previous guests or the owners' use, including a bag of opened dry dog food. There was no space for placing our own supplies. The freezer too

Great stay!

We had a fabulous stay at HighView. The house was lovely, views and position perfect. The house had everything we needed and the fire at night warned the house well with central heating perfect on the cold mornings.
