Hi John, I’m sorry that you considered this to be outside as it has 3 walls and a roof around the area that is considered outside. It is open on one side yes, but it is extremely sheltered and as I said surrounded by the building with a fully roof area over it it s merely 4 steps to the bathroom which is fully enclosed with a heated floor etc. We work hard to offer a luxurious experience and we appreciate all feedback. Thanks for your review can I add that the access to the bathroom is via the covered porch area which is about 2.5 meters wide it is completely dry and almost like another room inside a house. You do have to walk through the front door which brings you to the covered porch area and take about 5 steps in the covered porch area to reach the bathroom all of which is completely achievable while staying completely covered by the roof. It’s kind of outside but not really. The bathroom has quality fittings etc and offers a nice experience once reached. The space in the loft is low yet comfortable remember this is a tiny house. It’s a hunched walk or a crawl to the bed. The ladder has great safety rails and is reasonably easy to use with a little coordination. I’m unsure why this is being brought up as it is exactly as it is in the pictures.
