Enter into an open concept kitchen and living room, making it easy to both get movie snacks while not missing a moment of the action. A beautiful archway welcomes you from the kitchen and into the formal dining room, with a modern, dark wooden dining table and simple chandelier.

Step through the dining room and onto the large back deck, a private outdoor space to enjoy Cape Cod summer nights. Or head upstairs and through the spacious sunroom/ living area to the rear deck to enjoy the night time festivities.

The primary bedroom has its own private, second floor deck, a wonderful spot to catch the sunset before counting sheep.

Other amenities include a gas fireplace, washer and dryer, and a convenient walk to the water via Smugglers Path. Sometimes, guests will settle for less home for a better location. Simply wonderful.

There were 5 of us women, having all graduated Bourne High School in 1981, celebrating our 60th birthdays together. The house “Toes in the Sand,’ was perfect. The location was great. The porch connecting to the living room and dining room, with the kitchen being in the middle of those rooms was just the layout we needed. The five bedrooms were more than adequate, comfortable and spacious. Gardens surrounding the house made a lovely backdrop for our group photos. The house was great, and will definitely stay there again, given the opportunity.

Decent place

Gorgeous house. Rugs need to be addressed as they slide everywhere. Dryer did not work but was not communicated or answered when asked. Also there is a short walk to the water but it’s unmarked and not a beach.

One toilet malfunctioned Dryer broke and not repaired Not informed of laundry services until I called to check on dryer status - actually went to the laundry mat earlier that day. Outside is in need of serious power washing. Many (6 or so) scattered rugs did not have rubber backing which necessitated my rolling them up after three slip and falls. Luckily no one was seriously injured but there were elderly people in the house and had they fallen, the outcome would have been very serious. The pictures on the listing were very very deceiving. I have been to the cape for the last five years and all my experiences were exceptional. Unfortunately, this was not.

We had a great time. The house was decent for our stay. One thing that could be improved is that the upstairs bedroom with the library and balcony did not have an AC unit. The room was way too hot for anyone to sleep in. That’s one less room we thought we had. That was a huge disappointment for us. Other than that the house was ok. More beach ammenities and outdoor games (cooler, croquet, beach towels) would have been helpful for those flying in. Other houses we have rented in orleans over the past years have supplied those. Hoping this is helpful and not negative in tone. My family had a great week in the cape but as the prices of these weekly rentals increase, I guess our expectations do as well.
