Place is beautiful upon first glance. Great location with fully equipped kitchen. We were thrown off by the multiple stains or the carpets and the massive stain on the couch. The bedding could use updating as it had multiple holes. The bed in the master bedroom was broken and was impossible to sleep in. upon getting ready to leave, mutiple cans were found under the bed, making us wonder if the room was cleaned.

The house was not dirty but it wasn’t entirely clean. The carpet was grimy and stained, even torn up in certain places like an animal had been scratching at it. There were holes in the walls and scratches all over the wall. The baseboard around the island was not attached and would fall over every time you bumped into it. There was a notice on the console that the sidewalks infront of the property were not being shoveled and a delivery slip for a missed package. Upon arrival we noticed that the fire alarm was beeping every 10 minutes. We let the host know about this and an issue with the door code, the issue with the door code was resolved but the fire alarm issue was not. We assumed it was out of batteries and communicated that with the host. The host asked us to call 911 (on Christmas eve) to have the alarm inspected. We went to a convenience store to get a battery instead. There was a fire alarm missing from the Ceiling in the upper hallway and two of the bedrooms as well as the main entrance, the carbon monoxide detectors were stashed away in a drawer somewhere. The toilet in the main upstairs bathroom was constantly running and the other upstairs toilet did not work unless you removed the lid and messed with the stopper, we had to do this every time we used the washroom. Some of the sheets had stains or large holes in them. The furniture seems very well loved and lived in.

I rented the whole space instead of just a room. The family really appreciated the clean space to relax in. Quiet neighborhood on the weekend.

Fair not gate

This property was not set up for six guests. Short of dishes, cutlery, towels, etc. Upon arrival, towels and sheets were in the laundry, but no laundry soap provided to clean and should not be doing the laundry upon arrival.

Stay if you don’t have high expectations

It’s in a great location and it was just the right amount of space for us. However, we are very disappointed in the services that were not provided. Our check in time was delayed an hour and still had to wait as the cleaning lady didn’t show up until 5. The cleaning lady supposedly cleaned the entire place in 10 minutes. We had to finish the laundry so we could have clean towels. There were no bed sheets in the laundry so they obviously were not changed from the previous guests. So, we ended up washing bedding while our stay here. There are only 3 washcloths for the two bathrooms that have showers.There were dirty dishes in the dishwasher and it was not started. Visible areas, such as counters, sinks, and showers, were very clean. Like mentioned in other reviews, there is a distinct cat smell in this property. And it’s questionable if the air conditioning works as it was very warm inside. This could have been a great experience if more care was given for appealing their guests.

If you like cats...

My experience with this rental was awful. I did not receive any address or check in information until a couple hours prior to check in and I had to send an e-mail and ask for this information. Once I checked into the house, as soon as you open the front door you are immediately hit with the strong odor of cat pee. There isn't enough seating for a family of 6. There is one stool at the island and 4 kitchen chairs. The add says a 3 bedroom house however when we went upstairs, we only had access to 2 bedrooms. The third bedroom door was closed and locked and we were unable to access it. I messaged the owners however my message was not responded to until the next morning. My husband and I were forced to sleep on the couch (that isn't big enough or comfortable) and the house had no additional blankets or pillows. The next morning once we received access to the locked 3rd bedroom, when you open the door, the cat pee smell was SOO unbearable no one entered that room and the door remained shut and we had to sleep on the floor of the living room for the duration of our stay. The beds were so uncomfortable that I took the sheets off to check it was ensure a mattress and not just a box spring. Overall, the cat pee smell was so overwhelming my family complained of headaches and we could still smell it on our clothing and belongings when we left. Will not stay here again.
