Horrified by house condition!
Filthy home, property manager and owner live out of state leaving no one local to manage it. Neither had any idea it was in the state it was when we checked in.
There was not one part of the stay that went smoothly. Upon arriving, the code to enter would not work, the door key pad was in operable. The owner picked up and then instructed me to use the garage key pad instead, still no power. Then we moved to a lock box on the side yard, all in the pitch dark with no exterior lights on. Here’s where it got worse.
When we opened the door, we were instantly punched with a rotten smell that carried throughout the entire lower level. The smell was coming from weeks old garbage & broken glass in the kitchen & approx 50 bags of garbage in the attached garage that breezed a cockroach have . There cockroaches in the refrigerator, in the kitchen island garbage area were the trash was and climbing on the unclean outer stove and stove top areas. No power to microwave & coffee maker. Not a fit place to prepare a meal. Bedding not clean, debris of prior tenants scattered in the bed & on the floor. Bathrooms had toothpaste splatter, showers had hair in the drains, the toilets were not cleaned, master soaking tub had a dirt ring around it. No toilet paper in most bathrooms & none in house. Caked on dirt/dust back porch, unusable. No kitchen towels. Had to by a wine opener. Minimal hard to find bathroom linens tucked under dryer. The list goes on. Multi reach outs & no resolution.
