The Space:

The ocean opens wide before you. To the left, Zicatela’s legendary surf and La Punta’s rugged rock formations; below, rolling waves; and far to the south, nothing but the open Pacific all the way to Antarctica. With no land in between, the air here feels impossibly fresh.



Whales and dolphins often pass close to shore, while seabirds glide past at eye level. As night falls, star-filled skies frame the silhouettes of local fishermen heading out to sea in search of Neptune’s bounty. From your private terrace plunge pool, it’s hard not to feel like you’ve found heaven on earth.



This penthouse offers unobstructed oceanfront views, exceptional natural light, constant ocean breezes, and a rare sense of privacy. It’s the most elevated and open-feeling unit in the complex, with the added benefit of easy access—making it especially comfortable for guests with mobility considerations.

Guest Access:

This villa is privately yours. You can also stroll along garden walkways toward the ocean and enjoy endless views, two pools, hammocks, sitting areas, and rooftop gardens in the common areas. We are a gated community with 24/7 security personnel.



The Neighborhood:

Surrounded by fine homes and condos, La Escondida is a short walk from Playa Principal and the Adoquín, a lively pedestrian zone. A 5-minute walk in the other direction takes you to Playa Manzanillo and Puerto Angelito, where you can hire boats and paddleboards, enjoy meals under palapas, and swim or snorkel in a calm bay. Puerto’s Centro and mercado, Rinconada’s restaurants and shops, and more beaches are all within a 15-minute walk or a short taxi ride.



Getting Around:

You can rent a car (Mexican insurance is required), take a taxi anywhere in town (usually around 50 pesos), or use a colectivo (shared trucks that function like buses, typically around 7 pesos depending on distance). The area is also very walkable.



Other Things to Note:

Please note that La Escondida is a high-end residential community that does not allow parties or gatherings with loud music. Quiet hours must be respected at all times. All guests are required to sign the rental agreement prior to their stay. A secure link will be sent before arrival, and completion is necessary in order to access the property.



**Please note that the main shared pool at La Escondida is currently undergoing maintenance and is expected to be unavailable until approximately mid-June. Guests will still have full access to the second shared pool during this time.
