Recently upgraded with the addition of a separate self contained studio that's all yours to enjoy, loads of outdoor access and close proximity to beaches and cafes. Prepare to get comfortable for a beachside holiday.

The space:
Recently upgraded with the addition of a self contained separate Studio for added space and privacy. High ceilings in the main house, plenty of natural light and views from all the main rooms will help you connect with the pristine environment that the far south coast is renowned for.

After long days at the beach, come home to chill, watch a movie, or put on an album - Internet and streaming services are included.
Take a stroll down to the local café in the morning, grab a fishing rod and head to the Tomaga river on dusk, or wax up your board and take advantage of one of the many nearby surf spots. Or you could just relax and take it all in, the choice is yours.

Wonderful house, great location

Really lovely holiday house - super comfortable beds, sharp knives, great view, and everything just worked perfectly. The location was tremendous, and the property was dog friendly (our golden retriever had the best holiday ever - the nearby dog beach is great). Communication was perfect.

Quiet, clean, well stocked and stylish

I will totally love to stay here again. Excellent kitchen, comfortable beds, lots of space. Plenty of places to dry beach towels outside. The big screen tv was a pleasant surprise but really there is plenty to do, so need for tv. Marcus was very responsive and patient with my questions, which was because of me not reading the clear instructions.

Great family house

Great place to stay for a family group. Lovely view, convenient position. Only issue was perhaps the blinds in bedrooms not blocking out the light very well. Very obliging host who permitted a change of date promptly and easily.

Fun at the beach with the whole family and the dogs!

We had a great stay at Tomakin and enjoyed the local beaches and fishing. The house was well appointed for our group of seven and there was plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen had everything we needed and we cooked all our meals. Would recommend to anyone looking for a family beach holiday, and a bonus we could bring our dogs who enjoyed runs on the beach each day! Thanks Marcus we had a great stay.

Great beach getaway

We had a lovely 5-night stay at this property. As it was just the two of us and our two dogs, the space was more than adequate. We closed off all of the rooms we didn't use and didn't enter the downstairs studio (it looks nice!) for ease of cleaning. The whole place is very nicely set up and cosy. We appreciated little touches like teabags, coffee pods, and a milk frother, as well as guest accounts for Netflix and Amazon streaming services, especially the one day that didn't stop raining! Communication with Marcus was straightforward and easy. If you stay here, do check out Smokey Dan's next to the IGA–great smoked brisket, ribs, fish fingers, and amazing chips!

Needs some love and care and attention to detail.

Though there were aspects of the property we enjoyed we felt the yard was not 100% dog friendly due to the amount of vegetation and hazards leading to the exposed area under the house. The Dog ramp definitely needs to be replaced with an appropriate safe alternative. Curtains definitely need replacing as there was mildew on them in one of the bedrooms and others were not so clean. The outside furniture is old and tired showing significant signs of ageing and damage. Overall, the house needs a good freshen up. View is very nice.

Fabiola was a lovely guest, and her feedback is greatly appreciated. During her stay my wife and I were away in Canberra having a baby, so I admit that there were other things on my mind. In any case the issues have been addressed, including new outdoor furniture, curtains and a clean up of the yard. The dog ramp was intended for small dogs only, as an alternate route to the back yard, and I believe the Fabiola has larger dogs. Apologies for not clarifying this. Future guests can expect all these issues to be resolved, as the accommodation was taken off the market for a full review.

Comfortable, cosy stay minutes from child friendly Tomakin beach !

Was a wonderful place with its own self contained private studio just minutes away from Tomakin beach . Although the home was not the largest in size, the perks of this cosy stay meant the family was always drawn close together for quality time. Lovely views with adequate air-conditioning provided made it a relaxing stay . The front of the house included a nice outdoor sitting/ entertainment area where you can also have meals and enjoy the sea breeze. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed as well! Some minor issues / feedback to consider is we could not lock the studio from inside which meant anyone could walk into the property and open it , but I believe the owner is working on this. It is to be noted the owner provided an external padlock from outside during our stay but this meant the occupants of studio had to be locked in at night then let open in the morning which is not convenient. The bathroom windows also had no flyscreens provided and due to many insects around summer it is not advised to keep it open, but I'm sure the owner is working on some sort of solution for this. The external bins were full and this was extremely frustrating but this was not the owners fault as the previous vacationers did not put the bins out for collection. The small gas hot plate provided in the external entertainment area had the non stick surface peeling off and had to be covered with foil for cooking. The above were just minor inconveniences that can easily be rectified for future guests , however, the overall experience was full of fun with the family and friends !! The owner, Marcus, was also a pleasure to deal with and very prompt with any queries we had before and after the stay .
