Browne House - Meredith Lodging

This Oceanfront single level Bayshore home has wrap around window and offers private beach access right off the homes bright deck! A spacious living room with a flat screen TV and dvd player, two bedrooms, each with a queen, a full bathroom and washer/dryer in the hall makes this home perfect for your next family vacation our couples retreat! Please note- given the unique shape of the home the bedroom walls do not go all the way to the ceiling.

In the Bayshore neighborhood of Waldport. You’ll also enjoy access to the seasonal pool for a fee at the Bayshore Beach Club, plus the neighborhood playground and tennis courts. Miles of wide sandy beach stretch south to the mouth of the Alsea River, and crabbing and fishing are available in Alsea Bay. You’re minutes from Newport to the north, Waldport, Yachats and Florence to the south, and an incredibly beautiful stretch of shoreline in between. Come experience the Central Coast in this clean, open home designed for enjoyment!

I have interest in mid-century modern homes and this modular home based on a yurt structure interested me as a place to stay. The view from the Oceanside windows is incredible and beachside access is right off the deck. The interior appears the original including fixtures and cabinets. The house has what you need for fixing and eating meals, the morning coffee, etc. The beds are comfortable and the location is great for exploring the central coast. We had a very pleasant stay. And the view!!

We had a great stay, although we didn’t spend a lot of time inside the house, it was perfect for the two of us and would accommodate four easily. The house has a living room tv and one of the two bedrooms has a tv. The proximity to the beach is great and the sand is awesome! The beach is nice and there’s driftwood to sit on if you don’t have chairs. It’s a beautiful view and you can hear the ocean with the windows open, but it’s not too loud. We would definitely stay here again. Hopefully we didn’t give away our hidden gem.

View was fantastic but that is about all I can really say. There was an issue with the lockbox codes but that was resolved easily enough. The house itself was more dated and worn that the pictures showed. The kitchen floors were cracked and peeling, the carpet was about a year past a good shampooing , the beds were about 5 years past being comfortable, bedding was cheap, and a there were issues with nearly all the electrical outlets. We stayed because of the view and the beach but wouldn't recommend this rental until upgrades were made

Location - amazing, right on a beautiful beach. The house was NOT as shown in the photos. Must be old photos, as the house was much more worn, and almost none of the furnishings were the same. Calling it a "yurt" so no ceilings in the bedrooms, hence, no privacy. Kitchen is bare bones. I've stayed in worse, but for the price that this cost, I am disappointed. Deceptive photos.

The beach access was great and the yurt style house was very clean. It is an older home so there was no dishwasher and its a little rough here and there but the beach access is so good and it was clean so it made no difference to us. The host was well organized and check in, check out was smooth.

The place was clean. The beds were comfortable that’s a big plus for me. Ya just never know sometimes. Would be a great place for a couple or small family. Privacy in the house would be a funny situation for two couples as the walls for the rooms don’t go all the way to the ceiling . So if you’re big on privacy probably not the place for you. Only other down side would be the pathway to the beach. It needed yard maintenance pretty bad. Just to make it easier walking and to not feel like you’re going to almost step on a snake like I did. .

We really enjoyed our stay at the Browne House. The view from the living room and kitchen was great and you can open the windows to hear the ocean. It was quiet and the beach is very close to the house. The house is older but was clean and mostly comfortable. The bed was not very comfortable and we didn't sleep well, but we really enjoyed everything else.

The house is very nice and clean. The Yurte is speciall. The bathroom is complettly closed, all the other rooms are open to the celling. The people in Waldport are very friendly. To sit on the deck with the view to the ocean is great. We would rent this house again.

The beach was unobstructed and the view was spectacular. The house itself had some wear and tear, could use a bit of a makeover. The kitchen had everything we needed and the rest of the house was very comfortable. Maybe get rid of some of the extraneous junk in the closet. But it's all about location and this was the best. We would definitely book this again.

Wonderful Location

The view of this place was absolutely beautiful. My girlfriend and I had everything we needed to cook and just enjoy the ocean and beach. The place is a little outdated;however, the view and location is what it is about. Just a short walk to the beach and the view from the deck was amazing. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Location

Overall the property was amazing!! Perfect location, short walk to the beach! Only complaint was the stove/ burners did not work properly and the fridge was dirty. Beautiful over all.
