Rents Sunday-Sunday only during busy season. Sleeps 9 (max 6 adults). No parties or smoking. Families and older groups preferred. Lead guest must be 30+ years of age. 2 well-behaved dogs allowed (more on request basis only, and no cats please). Please note that, according to the municipality's bylaws, all dogs must be leashed or tethered on the property when outside. Dogs are not permitted to roam leash-free. A supplemental information form must be completed.

Belmont Lake Life is the perfect Kawarthas cottage rental for families and groups looking to get away from the city and enjoy all the beauties of cottage life. Only a 1.5-hour drive from the GTA, this cottage includes amazing lake views and a patio facing the water, a living room perfect for late-night movies, dart and board games, a fully stocked kitchen and plenty of activities (6 kayaks, a canoe, 3 fishing rods, a floating mat anchored in the water, pop-a-shot basketball game, and a fire pit).

On the interior, you are treated to an incredible living room with sky-high glass windows overlooking the water. It includes a 10-person dining table, a smart TV, lots of board games (including a chess set) and lots of seating. The living room leads out to a deck with 4 Muskoka chairs and a dining table set, perfect for morning coffees or group dinners. The kitchen comes fully stocked and there is a BBQ at the front of the cottage. Connected to the living room is the primary bedroom which includes a 4-piece bathroom and a personal sunroom. On the second floor, you will find two additional bedrooms, one with a Queen bed and the other with two twin beds and a double. The basement also includes a Pop-a-Shot basketball game.

On the exterior, you will never be short on activities with great swimming and a dock with 4 muskoka chairs, a second dock / sitting area, fire pit, homemade swing overlooking the water, and hammock / climbing net for children. There’s a 6 person hot tub, new for 2026, to enjoy as well. The cottage rental includes 3 fishing rods, a paddle boat, 6 kayaks and a canoe. Life jackets are not provided.

Only a 15-minute drive from Havelock, the cottage provides an easy spot to pick up groceries, grab an ice cream and pick up convenience items / LCBO. There are several golf courses in the area and it is only a 30 minute drive from the Petroglyphs Provincial Park. You can also visit the local Cordova Falls waterfall at the top of Deer River, perfect for swimming and a picnic lunch (bring water shoes and life jackets)

Things you need to know:

You may notice the 1 outdoor surveillance camera at the cottage, positioned on the SW toward corner facing the driveway & front entrance to deter break-ins when the cottage isn't being enjoyed

Linens and indoor towels are provided for all reservations; please bring your own outdoor towels
A post-rental cleaning service is provided; however, the cottage is to be left in a tidy condition and towels are to be put in washer
Garbage and recycling removal is required
Guests must provide lifejackets/PFDs to ensure a proper fit
Earlier check in and later check out times for short stays in low season may be possible upon request closer to your arrival date
AWD or 4WD is recommended during cold/icy weather in winter



Waterfront
The large grass lawn area slopes to the waterfront. The water is 5ft deep off the dock and is shallow at the earlier part of the dock. You are able to fish off of the dock.
