House, pool, view and communication with host made a great weekend getaway! Pool table and ping pong were fun activities for our group. Perfect distance away from home for weekend unplug.

Great getaway

This property is only 1and half hours away from DFW area. Great weekend getaway for family or friends. Pool is beautiful and well kept, fishing was excellent off boat dock. Hosts were easy to reach and responded promptly. I was sad to leave and will be back soon

Lovely Get Away

This house is great. The pool is wounderful. The dock is large and is in great shape. The kitchen is spacious. The bedrooms are nice and large. The neighborhood is quite and not alot of traffic. We have no complains on this house at all. Also the homeowner is great with communication.

Everything you need to have a great time!

When we first arrived we didnt waste anytime jumping in the pool on a hot day. The private dock was calling our name as well so we then went fishing and caught catfish! Plenty of them and bass around(we used perch). We then cooked on the propane grill and enjoyed eating outside with a great view on comfortable tables and chairs. As night came we then cooked hotdogs and smores on the firepit. We still had plenty of time to play pool, watch a movie and enjoy converstions on the huge island in the kitchen area. Beds were comfortable and even tho we brought everything we needed for restrooms kitchen etc it was good to see they had everything already just incase. I like to try different things go different places but this will b a tough one to beat so i have a good feeling we may rebook again.

The view tho

The view from the back patio is amazing. Crystal clear pool water in the forefront with a large lake in the background. We came at the tail end of summer so it was still warm enough to swim in the pool which my kids enjoyed immensely. While the adults tried our hand at some fishing on the private dock. We didnt catch anything, but it was still relaxing until nighttime when all the spiders come out to feast. Lol. They were friendly enough, but I still hightaled it up the path to the house once they made their appearance. We sat around the campfire ring and told scary stories. I am too good and scared my 9 year old into the house. So then we played ping pong and pool. This is very much small community living with tiny general stores, so I suggest shopping for food ahead of arriving so you can enjoy your time there. The lake is prestinely quiet, which was very relaxing. With the pool, bbq grill, pool table and board games provided we had plenty to keep us all entertained. The house was clean and bed nice and soft. Plenty of towels and blankets, pots pans and non perishable condiments. The owner went above and beyond to accommodate us and make sure everything was to our liking. There was plenty of room for 8 of us. Myself, husband 4 kiddos and my sister and brother in law. We actually could have fit a couple more people if we needed to. Will visit this property again with my family. Highly recommend if you looking for a quiet relaxing spot with a view.
