The Lobster Home is a charming 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom oceanfront home located on the gated Alligator Reef property in Islamorada. Set just steps from the water, this home offers a relaxed Keys atmosphere perfect for a peaceful getaway.

Guests staying at Lobster enjoy access to the beautiful shared oceanfront grounds, including a sandy lounging area with a fire pit, an observation dock, and kayaks and paddleboards for exploring the clear waters.

Comfortable and inviting, the Lobster House is ideal for a small family or couple looking to enjoy the beauty of the Florida Keys in a quiet waterfront setting.

For larger groups or extended families, the nearby Conch House (3 bedroom, 2 bath) on the same property can also be reserved, allowing both homes to be booked together for a private oceanfront compound experience.

Enjoy the laid-back island lifestyle, ocean breezes, and endless views that make this special property a true Keys escape.
VACATION RENTAL LICENSE: 24-0389 Per Islamorada's vacation rental ordinances for weekly rentals 2 people per bedroom are allowed, and 2 additional guests if under the age of 6.
If booking more than a year in advance current prices may not reflect annual cost of living increase.
Many of our guests' re-book the same property on an annual basis. No reservation is confirmed until you speak with us.
Please note: before proceeding with your booking, kindly review the following information. This property is managed by a local Islamorada rental company, Freewheeler Vacations. Payments for your vacation rental will be made thru Freewheeler Vacations. You will also see a charge from VRBO which covers their booking service fee which is already included in the total cost. We prefer payments via personal check or eCheck. However, if you opt to pay by credit card, a 3% convenience fee will be applied to your rental. You will receive the Freewheeler Vacations Vacation Rental Agreement via email, which must be signed before your arrival. All future correspondence will be made through Freewheeler Vacations.

Perfect property for a small family's get away. Amazing location towards center of the Keys so that all activities offered by the Keys may be enjoyed. Amazing property, can't recommend enough!!!

Fantastic!

We really enjoyed our stay in Islamorada and the Lobster House was a perfect fit for us! We took our dog and she had a blast playing ball daily in the common area. We loved walking over to OV, visited Anne’s Beach and Founders Park,went fishing, spent a day in Key West, went to several nice restaurants and thoroughly enjoyed our visit!

Peaceful getaway

This house and location were beautiful. The house was clean and close to so many restaurants and our fishing charter. I loved having my coffee on the porch or walking out to the dock to watch the water.

First time at lobster house and would recommend it too anyone! And the location is awesome for just about anything you want too do!!! And of course the view off the pier is amazing!!!

Wonderful Stay

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Lobster Home. The property management company took care of everything and were excellent to work with. The home was so clean, comfortable and had all the basics needed. My only regret was not having a swimming pool like the other homes but perfect otherwise. Enjoyed sunning on the lanai and easy access to all Islamorada has to offer. Would stay here again.

Alligator reef is amazing!

Fantastic house in a great location for our trip to the Keys. It worked out perfect for our week of wandering up and down the Keys. We would stay here again in an instant! Clean, comfortable with basic kitchen needs covered. The only negative was I called and left a message to get something corrected and no one ever called me back.

Quiet and clean but has some issues.

Gas grill was terrible and appeared to be burned, and the owner replaced it with new one immediately. The door lock wasn’t functioning and the door was fixed by maintenance quickly. The master bedroom's mattress is lumpy and needs to be replaced. Noticed very tiny live bugs on bathroom and kitchen counters. Quiet area with quiet residents in other buildings.

Thank you for your review, good or bad, it helps us to do our job better. In the future, please call us when you are in house. When you called after you left, to let us know you had issues, it was too late for us to be able to correct and not "drop the ball". Also, for your next stay we wanted to make sure you knew the batteries to the remote were changed and the beehive has been relocated off property. :-) Hope the snow has stopped and you are already planning on being in the Islamorada sun! Lobster House in Islamorada

The home was nice & affordable. It appeared clean, but there were tiny bugs in both bathrooms & the kitchen, that appeared to be attracted by water (in sinks, tubs, etc). We bought bug spray on 2nd day & that seemed to kill them. I liked the home it was nicely decorated. Very annoying however was the next door neighbor's alarm system as it went off very loudly multiple times every day! In fact one day it went off at 5am until 5:30am. Another next door neighbor had multiple barking dogs each time we went outside. The home is described as waterfront but it's misleading as you need to walk thru the owner's side yard to get onto the small fishing dock. We both enjoyed fishing off the dock, but the algae smelled bad. The home listing also says you have access to kayaks, but we weren't sure where they were located & we did see kayaks in the owner's yard but we didn't want to use hers as we weren't sure if they were for our use? Overall we enjoyed our stay, but were disappointed not to have a nearby public beach to use to swim or cool off

Thank you for your review! We appreciate your feedback. While we would love to rent all of the homes surrounding this one, sadly we do not. So we have no control over neighbors, dogs, or noise. However, we were glad you reached out, and that the neighbors guests could control the dog for the remainder of your stay. As for the kayaks, for future reservations, they are directly behind the house on the waterfront. And call us! We are here to answer ANY question! Hope to see you again in the real near future!
