Relax with the whole family at this peaceful cottage year-round. Sleeps 7+ pull-out couch. Close to the city! The cabin is waterfront in the quiet village of Sandy Beach, AB. Enjoy sunsets on the deck, spend time on the water, relax in the hot tub, outdoor seating areas or explore the forest. Paddle boards, pedal boat and kayak are available to rent during your stay. Bring your ATVs as there is a community forest across from the house with trails and acres to enjoy! Fun for the whole family! Waterfront property just steps away from acres of forest for your enjoyment year-round. Great for a quiet escape from the city, relaxing and enjoying the beautiful scenery, ATVs, skidoos, hiking, snow shoeing and cross country skiing.

There are 3 bedrooms, two with queen size beds and one with a bunk bed and trundle bed to sleep 3. The main area is open concept with a fully equipped kitchen, dining room and living room. The couch coverts into an additional sleeping space as a hide-a-bed. There are 1.5 bathrooms, a tub/shower combination. Laundry also on site.

Enjoy the morning sun in the front yard which is gated from all sides, relax in the hammock enjoying the forest and flower gardens. The backyard has a large deck equipped with a barbecue. There is a beautiful cast iron stove to enjoy fires right on the deck. There is comfortable seating to relax, enjoy the fire, take in the beautiful lakefront scenery, eat and enjoy each other’s company! This opens to a large green space with a fire pit near the patio off the boathouse. There is a quiet, resident-maintained sandy beach right off the boathouse

There is a 6-person Hot Tub off the back deck for optimal relaxation while enjoying the beautiful surroundings day or night. The Hot Tub is offered year-round with beautiful views of the quiet lake and west-facing sunsets!

We have a 16 foot by 48 inch above ground pool to cool off on hot summer days. **** seasonal pool setup is weather dependent — generally above 10 degrees Celsius overnight temperatures consistently **** .

The backyard opens up to the waterfront where you can watch sunsets, relax on the patio, cool off in the pool, enjoy the beach, the view and wildlife or access the water off our dock for non-motor sports such as kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding or skating and ice hockey in the winter months. We have a dock which allows for easier water access. The lake is a bird lovers paradise, many species to observe, hear their beautiful sounds and enjoy! Bring your own non-motorized water equipment to launch right off the beach or rent *** our paddle boards, pedal boat or one person kayak.

*** Rental fee for stays less than 3 nights.. Sandy Lake and its surroundings are peaceful and quiet, the lake itself is in a drought and quite shallow. This means conditions are not good for swimming or fishing. Non-motor sports can be enjoyed depending on water levels so they are not guaranteed. Swimming is available nearby at Long Island Lake (approx 1 hour ** great day park and beach), Lac St Anne (approx 25 min) or Wabumun (approx 30 min).
