Some things never go out of style. Blue jeans. White shirts. Beachside Art Deco apartments with sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean. Blackbird is a stunning example of the third category, beautifully updated with the very best modern fixtures, furniture and appliances.
A split-level penthouse, it is ideal for couples, friends or small families looking to enjoy Sydney’s exclusive eastern beaches in style. The entry level (accessible via four flights of stairs) plays host to the main living space. This open-plan area features high ceilings and lovely parquetry flooring, as well as a marble kitchen, breakfast bar, dining table and lounge.
The attention grabber is the deck, though. As soon as you walk in you’ll want to throw open the sliding doors, grab a drink and admire the view of the cliff tops running south along the coast.
The vista from spacious upstairs master bedroom is even better. From up here you can see Sydney’s entire eastern coastline, Bondi to the north and Maroubra stretching away south. And the bedroom has the luxurious bona fides to meet the view: a king bed, an en-suite bathroom with a huge marble tub and a walk-in wardrobe.

What We Love
We simply can’t go past the view. We’ve managed properties all through Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs and we’ve never seen anything like it: beach after beach after beach all the way to the horizon. There’s also a car space, which makes getting to them easy.
What the Active Traveller Loves
There isn’t a better place to stay in Sydney if you want to get out and about. The famed Bondi to Bronte walk is right on the doorstep. All of the beaches visible from the balcony are beautiful for a swim. Yoga and green smoothies are close at hand in Bondi. We guarantee you’ll leave feeling rejuvenated, even if your idea of being active is lying on a beach towel.
Please note, Blackbird Tamarama is on the fourth floor of the building. There are 8 flights of stairs.
