The Space:
Apartment 9 is designed for simple, comfortable coastal living with views across Onetangi Bay from the open-plan living and dining space. Large windows frame the outlook and bring natural light through the apartment, keeping the living area bright without feeling exposed.
The lounge is arranged for relaxed mornings and slow evenings, with soft furnishings and a clear line of sight to the water. The dining area sits by the window, making mealtimes feel connected to the view. The full kitchen includes modern appliances and everything you need for easy meals at home.
The bedroom is positioned privately off the main living area and includes a king bed and warm, even light. The bathroom is clean and functional, with a tiled shower, vanity, and modern fittings. Shared BBQ facilities are available in the landscaped common area at The Sands.

Guest Access:
Guests have full access to the apartment and shared use of the BBQ facilities at The Sands. Parking is provided onsite. Early check-ins and late check-outs may be possible on request, depending on bookings before and after your stay.
The Neighborhood:
Apartment 9 by Stay Waiheke sits just above Onetangi Beach, with a flat walk to local cafés and relaxed beachfront dining.
For breakfast and coffee, guests can head to Charlie Farley’s or the Beach Store Waiheke. For lunch, Three Seven Two and The Heke offer popular options, with The Heke serving smoked meats, modern grill favourites, and onsite craft beer. Dinner can be enjoyed at Ki Māha, known for refined beachfront dining, or Casita Miro, serving Spanish-inspired shared plates overlooking the vines.
Nearby wineries include Tantalus Estate and Obsidian Vineyard, both close enough for easy tastings or a relaxed vineyard lunch.
Getting Around:
The nearest bus stop is on Fourth Avenue / The Strand.
Buses run from Onetangi, stopping close to all major wineries, including The Heke, then continuing into Oneroa and on to the Matiatia passenger ferry.
Taxis, scooters, hire cars, and e-bikes are also available. Parking is provided at the property.

This apartment is not suitable for children.
Bookings accepted on request must be confirmed before finalising your stay.
The Sands operates on rainwater tanks, so guests must be mindful of water use, especially in summer.
Smoking Policy — The Sands:
There is no smoking inside the apartment or on the balconies. External smoke detectors are fitted, and any triggered alarm that results in a Fire Brigade call-out will incur a $5,000 fee charged to the guest. Smoking is permitted only in the designated picnic area.
Minimum stays:
7 nights mid-December to mid-January
3 nights on holiday weekends
2 nights at all other times
Shared gas BBQs are available for guest use.

The Stay Waiheke team is available 7 days a week from 8:30am to 5pm for general queries.
