About the home
“Boobook Retreat” is a delightful family friendly home in Cowes, close to the restaurants, cafe's and supermarkets. Some of the features of this lovely home are detailed below:
Indoor Areas
Downstairs is the Bedroom 4 that features a WIR and dual entry ensuite (with shower & toilet), a fully equipped Laundry (with washing machine & clothes dryer) that also provides access to the rear yard. The large open plan Kitchen (with WIP) and Dining/Living room (with 65" smart TV) provides access to the fully covered alfresco area at the rear of the home.
Upstairs is Bedroom 1 (with 50" smart TV), huge WIR and ensuite (with shower & toilet) and its own front-facing balcony. The large upstairs Family room (with 65" smart TV) provides access to Bedrooms 2 & 3 (both with BIR), the main bathroom (with bath & shower) and a separate toilet.
Outdoor Areas
The stunning covered entertaining area (with seating for 10, a pizza oven, 2 x bar fridges and a gas BBQ) overlooks the large fully enclosed rear yard which also has a firepit area (firewood not provided) complete with seating for another 6 people. Adjacent to the Entertaining Area is the highlight of the home - an enclosed electric heated 6-seater spa and a hot/cold water outdoor shower. The large double garage has roller door access to the rear yard, and provides parking for 2 cars, with space for another vehicle (car and/or a boat) in the driveway.
Kitchen
The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, and Aldi pod coffee machine, toaster, kettle, etc. with walk in pantry, double sink, fridge, dishwasher, 900mm electric oven and huge 6-burner gas cook top.
Heating/Cooling Systems
The home has ducted gas heating throughout, plus there are two wall mounted reverse cycle air-conditioning units; one in the downstairs Dining room and the other in Bedroom 1. There are also ceiling fans in the downstairs Living room and Bedrooms 1 & 4, plus a firepit in the back yard (wood not provided)

"Boobook Retreat" is configured to sleep any combination of adults and children up to a maximum of 12:

Bedroom 2 (Upstairs): One set of Single Bunks and one Single bed
Bedroom 3 (Upstairs): One Queen bed and one Single bed
Bedroom 4 (downstairs): One Queen bed
Upstairs living area: One Queen divan/sofa-bed suitable for two adults or children.
Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.
Peak Periods
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm (unless by prior arrangement). Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies
Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies. All bookings are subject to approval, pending Guest verification process - Local council restrictions are in place for this property and compliance is mandatory.
