Dieses charmante, sonnige, 2-stöckige Cottage befindet sich in zentraler Lage in Hendersonville auf einem privaten Anwesen mit mehreren Kabinen in der Nähe der Innenstadt (nur 5 km). Die perfekte Lage, um die Wasserfälle und Wanderwege von DuPont und Pisgah, Asheville, Brevard und vieles mehr zu erkunden. Das historische Foxhole Cottage ist ideal für Paare, Geschäftsreisende oder Freunde, die zusammen reisen. Nicht für kleine Kinder oder Haustiere geeignet.

Das Foxhole Cottage hat eine berühmte Geschichte. Diese 2 Schlafzimmer / 1. Das Cottage aus den 1940er Jahren wurde ursprünglich als Kutschenhaus hinter dem historischen Steinhaus auf dem Grundstück gebaut, das als Brightwaters Guesthouse bekannt war und 1938 gegründet wurde. Im Obergeschoss befanden sich 3 Zimmer - 2 davon waren Schlafzimmer für die Köche, die im Sommer aus Florida kamen, um in der Brightwaters Lodge und im Dining Room zu kochen, die sich in der Mitte des Anwesens befanden. Ein dritter Raum wurde für die Lagerung von Waren genutzt. Renovierungen in den 1970er Jahren schlossen das Erdgeschoss (jetzt die Wohn- / Esszimmer und Küche und WC) und kombinierten 2 Zimmer in 1 großes Hauptschlafzimmer im Obergeschoss. Der Name "Foxhole" stammt ursprünglich aus der Struktur.

Heute wurde das Foxhole Cottage erfrischt und in seinem früheren Glanz restauriert, wobei die restaurierten Hartholzböden auf der oberen Ebene, die ursprünglichen rustikalen Türen und die Holzbalkendecken freigelegt wurden.

Das Foxhole Cottage ist ein großartiges Haus, um die Natur zu genießen. Ganz in der Nähe der besten Mountainbike- und Wanderwege - DuPont, Pisgah, Bent Creek und Mills River. Das Foxhole Cottage liegt zentral zu Restaurants, Brauereien und Unterhaltungsangeboten in Hendersonville, Brevard und Asheville.

Surprise birthday getaway

I surprised my husband with a birthday getaway. I put the address in the GPS and he followed the directions step by step not having any idea where we were going. This place was PERFECT in every way! We loved the history of the property, the architecture, the beauty, the style. It was definitely our favorite stay!

Wonderful!

The Foxhole Cottage was perfect for me and my sister for a long weekend! Very clean and nicely decorated with a kitchen with all the basics! We felt very safe in this cottage which is part of a collection of cottages that surround a lovely little park with walking path. The neighborhood is very quiet, but convenient to the main road. It was very nice to be able to open the screened windows in the bedrooms to feel the cool night breeze!

Fall is in the Air- perfect cottage treasure

This cottage is delightful. Perfect location, size. Beyond clean. This was our first outing since COVID. We felt save. Thank you. I would suggest smaller coffee cups. Your are beautiful but heavy. We can’t wait to come back for a longer stay. This is our 46 season on Hendersonville. Thank you for a grand experience.

WONDERFUL Weekend getaway!

Cute, clean and homey ! We have stayed at several B and B’s and cabins but none trump the condition of this cottage, down to the little details. The management and owners of these properties are top notch in my book. The decor is updated and bright. The Owner Elisabeth was so knowledgeable and helpful. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND!❤️

Wonderful place with a lot of history. Close to everything.

We stayed in the cottage for a month. Elizabeth was wonderful and was always available for questions. The only issue we had is that you only have access to basic cable so very little channels available unless you love to shop. This is an issue for only those staying more than a few days. This cottage is located close to everything. Great place and very private.

Clean and quaint cottage

The cottage was all the owner said it was and more. It was beautiful, clean, and had all the amenities. The owner was very helpful with lots of recommendations about local events and good resturants. This is a gem of a find for a wonderful getaway.

All our needs were met and this adorable house!

We had such a great time so we extended our stay. The house is not only super functional but I love the history behind it. Elizabeth met us with the biggest smile and a homemade treat on the table. She was ready to help us with anything we needed. I highly recommend this adorable house. I love that the kitchen was so well stocked with all the plates and accessories that we needed!

Very cozy and convenient

Cozy cottage, wonderful hostess!

We had a wonderful and comfortable stay at the Foxhole Cottage! Elisabeth welcomed us on our first day and was very gracious to meet us at our requested time. She's very knowledgeable of the area, and gave us excellent recommendations. She was also very accessible through text and email, and answered our messages promptly. The Foxhole Cottage is very charming, well-maintained, clean, and well appointed. It had everything we needed for our 6-night stay. It is conviniently located near grocery stores, restaurants, and hiking trails. It is a great base camp if you would like to go to Blue Ridge Parkway, DuPont State Forest, Asheville, and Chimney Rock. We already recommended Elisabeth and the Foxhole Cottage to our friends who asked about our trip, and we would definitely want to stay there when we go back to WNC.

Clean, clean!

This is a very clean cottage and the price is right! The towels and bed linens are fabulous. There are just a couple of things to note. We had a low riding rental car and the driveway was difficult to get out of especially since it is a busy road. Also, The amenities are bare minimum. An extra garbage bag would have been nice. But, that being said it was a great VRBO rental and Elisabeth was very helpful with recommendations of restaurants and attractions. Great experience!

Very nice stay at the cottage!

We recently stayed 15 nights to acquaint ourselves better with the Hendersonville/Brevard area and all that it has to offer and we chose the right place. The cottage was very clean and well equipped (only wished for a little more comfortable front porch chair for reading) and Elisabeth the owner was very nice to meet and deal with. The location was very convenient to get to Dupont, Pisgah, restaurants, breweries, shopping etc... We'll definitely return!

The cottage is only 3.5 miles from downtown Hendersonville. Minutes to DuPont Forest and Pisgah Forest waterfalls and trails. Within 30 minutes, you can be in Asheville, Brevard, Bent Creek, the Bike Farm in Pisgah Forest, The Gorge, ziplining and white water rafting adventures.

Check out Oskar Blues Brewery, Sierra Nevada Brewery, Bold Rock Cidery, St. Paul Mountain Vineyards, Burntshirt Vineyard and more. Even closer are all of the great restaurants, shops and breweries in downtown Hendersonville. Public golf course only 6 miles away. Kayaking and canoeing with Lazy Otter Outfitters is just 2 miles away. And in season, apple picking orchards are just minutes from the cottage.
