We arrived after our check-in time and there was a car parked in the driveway and the lights were on. Inside there were 2 people with a full sushi meal spread out in the living room. This is after our check-in time. They said they were the cleaners and started to pack up their stuff. After 10 minutes of idling in the road, they left and we were able to park and begin unloading.After unloading half our stuff into the house we noticed how cold it was inside and that the lips of our youngest child (11 months old) were turning blue. The thermostat read 55 degrees and it was 4:30pm. The heaters downstairs were not working and this was obviously a known issue because there was a small and insufficient space heater in the corner of the living room. We called and could not get help and after determining that the heat was not functioning, the space heater was obviously inadequate, and that it was only going to get colder, we packed up our things and drove all the way home, skipping our week-long vacation. The more infuriating part of this whole experience wasn't the broken down cabin that was falsely advertised-- it has been the complete lack of customer support afterwards: - No call back from the help line when we were at the actual cabin. - No response to several emails over the last 2 weeks. We have rented countless houses. This particular property is complete joke. I would hesitate renting anything from Meredith Properties ever again.
