Recently renovated and set in a large old Blue Mountains landmark property on one acre of gardens in Wentworth Falls, this apartment offers a stunning vista over southside Wentworth Falls and backs directly onto the Charles Darwin reserve and walk, yet is also only a leisurely 10 minute walk to the local village.
This is a fully separated apartment, spread out over 75sq m, including a bespoke, private 15sq m verandah to enjoy the vista. It`s a very liveable space with its full size kitchen ( incl full laundry ), bathroom and living area. It’s also wonderfully warm with a large split system aircon and lots of natural light.
With views from every window you will feel a world away, and set in a building that is large enough to guarantee a high level of privacy, it’s a genuine retreat without the resort level price tag.
Being really close to everything of relevance in the wonderful Blue Mountains district ( its only 2 mins drive off the highway ), means it is easy to access and enjoy the many walks, cafes and restaurants nearby and makes for a great base for explorations further afield. The nearby bush walks in Wentworth Falls really are among the most spectacular in the mountains and the Charles Darwin Walk can be directly accessed from the backyard of this property ( this walk is now open after many years of repairs )
Fully equipped and totally self-catering with a self check-in procedure, everything is in place for a great home away from home experience or as many guests have used already, a great during the week work environment as well. Private off street parking & good WiFi.
This apartment is located on the same property as the also listed Suenaga Suite and Haiku Hut in case you want to sync up your stay with another couple/s or friends.

( Please Note: there are some building works happening in an adjacent property nearby starting from September 2023 as a new dwelling gets constructed which takes place Mon-Fri until further notice. So far this has had minimal impact on guests staying at the property with most of the work having been done already ). *Updated 27/3/2025

Loved our stay at The Origami Apartment, comfortable and welcoming and so lovely and clean, which is rare nowadays I find, and it was instantly evident as you walked through the doors :) Everything you could possible need was there, communication with the owner was seamlessly easy, our privacy was respected, information on the surrounding area was awesome and we really enjoyed the walk from the property to Wentworth Falls, such a beautiful area, only wished we had more time there!!

Location- peaceful, low noise levels, centrally located, fabulous views tho not of the mountains.Amenities- a home Away from home.. eveything youd need for a short stay and more. Exceptional !!

Comfort was assured as soon as we stepped into our warm and spacious, homely, yet quirky, well equipped apartment. Somewhat eclectic: boho vintage lounges, high ceilings, Japanese inspired accents meets classic, all you could want in a bathroom including a nice deep bathtub, to light filled tastefully laid out retro modern kitchen with deck access overlooking the beautiful valley. All this comfort was reinforced by our open hearted caring host, Luke. It was nice to feel the energy, love and care put into origami apartment and the courtyard and garden surrounds. Thank you.

A well appointed, comfortable unit perfectly positioned close to the Charles Darwin track and easy walking to the falls. We enjoyed sitting on the deck overlooking the valley. A very enjoyable and easy stay for the two of us.

Perfect spot for a short city escape

This is a wonderful location - very close to town and the train, nice walk to the falls. This beautiful accommodation is so warm and homely. A stunning deck for relaxing after a walk and watching the sunset! I highly recommend staying here!

Near perfection. The apartment was comfortable, homey, and exactly what we needed. So many thoughtful touches, a fabulous soaking tub, and a kitchen stocked with more than we would have thought to expect. The only 2 regrets were the weather and the fact we couldn’t stay longer. Blue Mountains Long Weekend Stay

The Origami apartment is a superb find in Wentworth Falls absolutely filled with character. My partner and I used it as a base to explore the Blie Mountains over the Canberra Day long weekend. The location is so peaceful and quiet, but still only a short drive to attractions around the mountains. The apartment has absolutely everything you could need, including a great kitchen that allowed us to prepare our own meals with ease. Everything in the was so clean. Our only disappointment was we didn't really get to take advantage of the amazing views out the huge bifold doors that open out onto the deck as the weather was not great! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would 100% recommend it to anyone.

Great Location and Beautifully Decorated

This was such a great stay in the Blue Mountains. The location was so convenient to some great trails (one with access from the yard) and everything you need in the Main Street nearby. The overall vibe and decor of the home was beautifully eclectic and the host left some great instructions and reviews in the guide book.

The Origami Apartment is thoughtfully decorated and spacious for two. The balcony backs to a scenic view of nature, trees and birds. The property is also connected to the recommended Charles Darwin Walk way.

I am an owner builder, renovator with a history of successful holiday let properties here in the Blue mountains and on the South Coast of NSW. I enjoy having guests from all walks of life stay at this property as it is such a unique experience and a great place from which to enjoy what the Blue Mountains has to offer.

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

When me and my partner purchased this property we soon realized it was too large for just us so we have decided to let out parts of it for holiday stays.
Originally built as a large estate with stables called "Caringa" in 1910. Although hard to tell now, as the original estate was bricked over in the early 80`s, it was designed by renowned Architect George Sydney Jones ( son of retailer the famous David Jones ). After WW1 it became a respite hospital in 1919 "Shalvah" and then later a nursing home named "Grosvenor" from 1964 till closing in 1993 ( this name is still registered with Google maps and comes up when searching the address ).
With this sense of history it is a truly unique property and is located conveniently close to town with easy level access to a lovely street front for parking, yet it is also located in one of the quietest streets of Wentworth Falls, and being on a large block there are no neighbours immediately close by.
This apartment is located in what is and was always the best part of the building with stunning views over the Charles Darwin Reserve and beyond.
All this makes for a really pleasant and relaxing stay experience.
