Situated in the heart of Bright's food, wine and distillery district, Olsen Penthouse is the largest of five luxury appointed townhouses offering a new standard in designer penthouse comfort in Bright.

While exteriors evoke an ultra-modern European urban appeal mixing timber, stone, and steel; interior design styling is centered around the Art, with soft furnishing tones and textures mimicking the colours and moods of the museum quality Art hanging within.



Olsen showcases interiors of limited-edition Art prints, a large modern kitchen featuring porcelain-topped waterfall island benches, polished floorboards, flat screen TVs, plus a generous living space dressed with the finest in European and Australian made designer furniture and soft furnishings.

The Penthouses spacious master suite is located at the separate end of the house t the additional two bedrooms.

The Location
Art House Townhouses are conveniently and centrally located in Wills Street, opposite the Reed and Co. Distillery and Sixpence Coffee bar/dining complex. Also within a few metres walk is Billy Button Wines cellar door with its award-winning collection of alternate varietal wines plus standout modern Australian eateries Tomahawks and Ginger Baker.


Parking
There is a space for one car at the rear of the property.



The Artist

Olsen is named in celebration of contemporary landscape painter John Olsen. John Olsen is one of the great evocative painters. His link to poetry is his other great strength. He has been gifted in his ability to understand beauty and still praise the ugly, the uneven, the difficult. His work also spans and masters many disciplines.

A passionate collector once hailed him 'the Picasso of Australia', a patently throwaway remark, and yet effectively like Picasso he has mastered and never faltered in any of his chosen mediums. Even ceramics. The idiosyncrasy of his mark is inherent everywhere.

John Olsen's exuberant paintings, which were first exhibited in Sydney in the 1950s, are often celebrations of Sydney, Majorca, marine life, good food and sunshine. His work remains grounded in the landscape or in evocations of poetry, a painter whose distinctive curvilinear style continually pays homage to the quality of a wandering line.

He is a major figure in the story of Australian art and his unique and sensual pictorial language presents a very personal view of the world.
